If you’ve read our Spring Preview post, then you already know how much we absolutely love Courtney Fabric by the Yard. Its fresh color palette and fun pattern inspired much of our spring collection, and now it has us all thinking about how we can incorporate the look into our own homes. The good news is, fabric is an easy, budget-friendly option for changing up your look, so making that quick update for spring is a no-brainer.
Since there’s been so much talk around the office about it, we thought it might be fun to ask a few of our buyers how they might use Courtney at home.
Jessica, Upholstery & Fabric Assistant Buyer (above)
“The Courtney Parsons Slipcovers would be a great way to freshen up my dining room for spring. The room is very neutral with a gray wash dining table (a DIY) with Macau Chairs at each side and Parsons Chairs at each end. I like to change my Parsons Chair slipcovers seasonally, because it allows me to easily switch things up and have fun with different fabrics and colors in the room. I could incorporate the pattern in my tabletop by using the Fabric by the Yard to make a table runner or napkins. I love citron, so I would mix in some citron linens and accessories to complete the look.”
Karen, Wall Decor Buyer
“I’ve always had solid drapery panels, but lately I am really liking printed panels. I love how fresh the Courtney colors are and would use them in my dining room. I would pair it with stripes and burlap for a casual garden feel. We used the fabric as inspiration for much of our new art, so I would layer in one of our new pieces for a beautiful coordinated look. Nature’s Lace, Memories Found Art or Alone At Last would be a nice complement to the panels.”’
Amy, Bedding & Bath Buyer
“The Courtney has an overall floral pattern, but when you look closely, the florals feature small geometric patterns within. It really adds a lot of dimension and complexity, and I think it would make a great accent in my bedroom, which is otherwise fairly clean and simple. I picture using it on a long bench, or two X Benches, at the foot of the bed that’s dressed in soft white bedding. I’d accessorize with a throw pillow in a geometric or the Buffalo Check pattern to help layer the overall look.”
Page, Rugs, Drapes & Pillows Buyer
“I’d buy the Courtney Panels and use them in my bedroom. I have a pair of upholstered chairs in Trilby Basketweave Natural and my duvet cover is solid white, so I’d also use the throw pillows on the bed along with the monogrammed Amelie Pillow Shams in spa to bring in more of that soft color. The color combination is a perfect match for my Suzanne Kasler Gourd Lamps in spa beside the bed. I’m also thinking about the Hayes Round Tufted Ottoman with the green tape trim, because it would pull out the citron green in the panels.”
Now it’s your turn. Tell us in the comments below how you’d decorate with Courtney.
