Winter Color Palette: Mineral & Drift

Decorating a room with icy blues and neutrals

This Winter’s collection was very obviously inspired by icy blue likes mineral and aqua. Tempered by lots of taupes and grays, a few jolts of blue can really wake up a room and give it a fresh feel. Our Kaley Aqua fabric is one of our favorite new fabrics for our first 2015 collection. We love the way this pattern feels almost tribal but in vivid shades of blue. To pair with the Kaley Aqua, we used our Piper Mineral fabric. This crisp linen-cotton blend has a watercolor effect and a fun, updated dot print!

In this room built around our blue fabrics, we used a cool, neutral gray called Stingray by Benjamin Moore. This paint color creates a neutral base for our pretty colors, while also keeping the look relaxed. Paired with some simple accessories like our Ella Table Lamp, a glamorous mirrored side table, a neutral cowhide rug, and a simple, pretty pillow.

We can’t help but love how this space came together. With a few unexpected touches like a cowhide rug and a pair mirrored side tables, it feels bright and fresh! Now all that’s left to do is relax and read one of those fabulous books!

I have aqua walls, white sofas. What color area rugs? I have oak hardwood floors.
