Dear ballard-I am in desperate need of your help. I have a living room/ foyer that has me so confused. There is very little wall space. I have attached several pictures , so you can hopefully guide me. I am a big fan of all ballard furniture. The color of the walls is bleeker beige by benjamin moore. I am open to changing the rug in the foyer, if need be. I would like the room to have neutral colors with pops of color here and there. I have attached pictures.
Dear Jennifer: Thank you for your recent dilemma. What a wonderful space! We do think we have a few suggestions that may help you with this space. Our first thought is to place our Hudson Setteecentered in the bay window area. We think the classic lines of the Hudson covered in our Taupe Velvet will really make a statement. We have two rug choices for in front of the settee either thePenelope Rugor the Florentine Rug. On either side of the bay window, we think one Spa Blue Panelhung from ceiling to floor will frame the bay without sacrificing the light. On either side of the settee we chose our armless Leyland Chairscovered in our Imogene Blue fabric for a soft textural feel. We love how the linen of the Imogene Blue fabric has an aged look about it. In front of the Hudson, we chose the West Indies Coffee Tablefor its natural look. On the left side of the bay beside the Hudson, we think a 24” Terrific Trio Table with a burlap tablecloth and our Cote D’Ivoire Lamp in cream on top will work well. On the side of the other Leyland chair, we chose our Olivia Side Table in antique brass. Across from the settee we felt our Benedetta Console (Tuscan Brown) against the railing would help to tie things together. On the walls entering your family room, we chose our Soliloquy Prints (one hung on either side of the opening to your family room) to create a soft and subtle statement. Below the print nearest to the dining room, we chose our Newport Demilune (dark mahogany) to complete the space.
We do think that this open space can now be a warm and stylish room that works with the rest of your home. Please let us know what you think – we love the feed back and don’t forget to send pictures when finished. We would love to post them on Style Studio.
