If you're not happy, we're not happy. That's where our "Love It or Send It Back" policy comes in. If you're dissatisfied with your Ballard purchase for any reason, you can return it within 90 days of the ship date for an exchange or full refund* (excluding Shipping & Processing fees).

You are invited to try items within our Best of Ballard collection risk-free for 30 days. If you're not satisfied, we will refund the purchase price AND shipping costs. Best of Ballard items are exempt from additional discounts and free shipping offers.

Please note: Any items that are monogrammed, customized, Customer's Own Material (COM), or made-to-order cannot be modified, cancelled, returned or exchanged unless damaged or defective. Defective items will be exchanged unless no longer available, in which case a Merchandise Certificate will be issued. Once a returned item is received in our warehouse, the return or exchange will be processed immediately. For credit card orders, you can expect to see your refund credit within 72 hours. For check and money orders, you can expect to receive your refund check within 7-10 business days.

What To Expect For Truck Deliveries


  1. After your items have shipped, you will be contacted by our delivery partner to schedule a day and 4 hour window for your delivery.
  2. When scheduling, share any restrictions or special circumstances that could impact your delivery including, but is not limited to:
    • Narrow roads
    • Restricted delivery times
    • Gated entrances
    • Proof of insurance requirements
    • Multiple flights of stairs
    • Service elevator restrictions
  3. Ensure that all items will fit through access points such as doorways, stairways, hallways, elevators, and around corners into the desired location.
  4. On the day of delivery, our delivery partner will call you approximately 30 minutes prior to arriving at your home.
  5. Please prepare for your delivery by ensuring clear pathways and removing any fragile items that could be damaged during the delivery. Our delivery provider is unable to move any existing furniture.
  6. Our delivery experience is contactless and your signature is not required. If you observe an imperfection, notify the delivery team and either refuse the item or contact us at 888-263-9850 for a resolution.

I also have the Bourdonnais desk in white in the same room. Love the quality and style of Ballard - but not the shipping prices.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Be prepared: rock hard cushion and unusual finish As others have stated, the chair is unusable as sold — the cushion is so cement-like that I immediately had to take it to an upholsterer to get a new foam insert cut ($135 since I live in the NY metro area where everything is expensive), so bear that in mind when ordering. Know also that the finish is an odd, opaque taupe tone that most likely won’t match any existing furniture you might be pairing it with. That said, I do like the shape and the caning on the side and it fit the bill as an additional sidechair in our living room. Just be prepared for the finish color and to cough up money to replace the cushion if you intend to ever actually use this chair for seating.

Wish I would have read the reviews before I purchased them though...very uncomfortable. The cushions are unusually hard. The chairs are beautiful, but so hard. You can only sit in them for very short periods of time.
