Please note: Any items that are monogrammed, customized, Customer's Own Material (COM), or made-to-order cannot be modified, cancelled, returned or exchanged unless damaged or defective. Defective items will be exchanged unless no longer available, in which case a Merchandise Certificate will be issued. Once a returned item is received in our warehouse, the return or exchange will be processed immediately. For credit card orders, you can expect to see your refund credit within 72 hours. For check and money orders, you can expect to receive your refund check within 7-10 business days.

We offer Two Business Day or Next Business Day Expedited Shipping on many items. Expedited orders received by 4 pm ET Monday–Friday are shipped the same day.

Expedited order cut-offs may vary during weeks surrounding a federally recognized holiday.

What To Expect For Truck Deliveries

  1. After your items have shipped, you will be contacted by our delivery partner to schedule a day and 4 hour window for your delivery.
  2. When scheduling, share any restrictions or special circumstances that could impact your delivery including, but is not limited to:
    • Narrow roads
    • Restricted delivery times
    • Gated entrances
    • Proof of insurance requirements
    • Multiple flights of stairs
    • Service elevator restrictions
  3. Ensure that all items will fit through access points such as doorways, stairways, hallways, elevators, and around corners into the desired location.
  4. On the day of delivery, our delivery partner will call you approximately 30 minutes prior to arriving at your home.
  5. Please prepare for your delivery by ensuring clear pathways and removing any fragile items that could be damaged during the delivery. Our delivery provider is unable to move any existing furniture.
  6. Our delivery experience is contactless and your signature is not required. If you observe an imperfection, notify the delivery team and either refuse the item or contact us at 888-263-9850 for a resolution.

The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is the finish on the top of the return is not smooth. It feels gritty. I did not express this concern to customer service since I am having a piece of glass made to place on the top to protect it from wear.

As craftsman and cottage open concept homes are very popular, I would like to have seen the desk offered in a 66"W X 30"D. This also would have accommodated the average home office much better. Your buyer missed the mark on this one for size. The style and color choices are great. However, i would suspect your audience is purchasing for the home office and not the workplace. Just a thought and an opinion...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fairly Nice Now That I Can Use It The pieces were in cardboard boxes,and unpacked onsite before the delivery men brought them in. Every piece was extremely dirty, making my weekend nothing but cleaning each piece before we could even put the group together. The top of one bookcase is finished in the same "birch veneer" but neither the hutch nor the second bookcase is finished with the veneer on top, they both have a rough finish that catches lint when I attempted to clean. No matter how hard we tried to get everything lined up properly there are still small gaps between the pieces and the hutch doors don't line up horizontally by a 1/4". As long as I don't point these things out to anyone I don't think they would notice, but I'm the "half a bubble off" kinda person. I am also of the mind that the lip on a shelf should be facing up to help keep things from sliding off, and both of the glued shelves are with the lip facing down in the bookshelves. Definitely requires 3 people for cleaning desk top and glass top due to the glass being so heavy. Missing is the shelf for the desk, and I have contacted customer service so hopefully it won't take them too long to get that to me. I'm sure I will enjoy the set once I overlook all the issues I've had with it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice desk, struggled with assembly & instructions We bought this desk about a month ago and the desk itself is nice (so far) but the process with assembly wasn’t what we expected. Be prepared to put the desk together yourself and the instructions arent great. We struggled with finding a shelf that goes in the desk, called Ballard, found out the shelf is located under the desk...which we already assembled. Directions weren’t clear at all on this. Now we have to take the desk apart to find this shelf bc you have to physically lift up the entire desk to see if it’s underneath. Another struggle - no pre-drilled holes, like instructions say, on the back of the hutch & desk to connect the two. Called Ballard, there are no pre-drilled holes, only “scored” holes (still don’t see them). Directions specifically say there are pre-drilled holes. We still like the desk but the assembly and poor instructions were why we gave 3 stars.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks nice but scratches easily I have had this set in the brown/wood for less than a year and the top is so scratched up. Its such soft wood that it dents/scratches so easy just moving a computer over it or pen or anything. The finish doesnt come off so you cant see scratches from far away but its pretty bad when Im sitting at it considering how much it costs. Several pieces were damaged when it arrived and had to be replaced. I was shocked at first at all the damage but now that I see how easy it is to damage I understand why. It is beautiful in the room and we get lots of compliments...just glad guests don't look up close.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beautiful with a Major Flaw I have the Tuscan Return Office Group in Cream, it looks beautiful in my Craft Room. There is a very, very major flaw with this furniture, it CHIPS. One barely has to touch the top without a small dent or a chip appearing. The same goes when using a vacuum cleaner, if I vacuum too close to the desk, it will chip the finish off the wood. The veneer is extremely thin, this is not a working desk. I had to order a piece of glass to fit over the desktop in order to protect the rest of the surface. I highly recommend that if you purchase this unit, order a thick glass top at the same time. It's a good idea to shop around for the glass top, I paid $340.00 for my top, which included delivery and extra handling to move the center bookcase.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Office desk with bookcase Extremely difficult to put together due to the sheer weight. Had to hire a professional who needed a helper. Was told easy assemble. Everyone laughed when they saw it. $6,000 way too much money to come in in assembled. Would never buy or recommend Ballard for any purchase unless fully assembled. But very beautiful.
