If you put bottles of liquor and glassware on the shelves, and open/spin the shelves open the weight of those contents make the unit tip forward and over onto the person who spun the shelves to the open position. Anti tipping over hardware is provided but you have to ruin the wall behind the unit to attach it to the wall studs. And there is labor involved in rigging the hardware. I believe the small round disks that are attached to the bottom of the wood legs add to the unit tipping over. I put the unit on a carpet, on round heavy duty moving discs, and hard heavy duty moving discs, but none eliminated the tipping forward problem caused by the weight of the contents placed on the shelves provided. My solution because I unpacked the unit long after the return date was to suspend two 25 lb pound barbell weights flat against the rear of the unit. I do not recommend the unit for its intended use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by MBiZ from Broken by Whiskey Bottles We really wanted to love this piece. Unfortunately it took 5 months for it to arrive, and the delivery process was incredibly frustrating. JB Hunt scheduled with us several times (with very limited week day hours) and after making arrangements to be home from work, they never showed. It wasn’t until the 4th attempt that the cabinet actually arrived. But the true disappointment was when we placed bottles of liquor into the cabinet which caused the bottom shelf on the unit to break. Ballard was responsive when we reached out, but the cabinet needed to be picked up to be returned which became another day of missed work waiting for JB Hunt to haul it away.
