Elegant addition to my patio.Right now my Lady Planter has a beautiful deep fuschia cyclamen as her "chapeau", and she looks elegant as can be at the entrance to our patio. She makes me happy every time I see her! I look forward to changing her hat in the spring, and I'll add another new one in the summer. I'm thinking ivy and impatiens, and hens and chickens and other hanging succulents to emulate hair. Fun! She arrived quickly and well packed and I couldn't be more pleased. I like unique things and that's what I get at Ballard Designs!

She's absolutely beautiful!I bought the Lady Planter for my daughter for her birthday. She adores it and so do I. She planted it with some beautiful succulents that cascade down in a really pretty way. She has a special place on her sun porch, but will probably be moved around. Now I WANT one!

Beautiful Addition to Garden, Patio or DeckI have always adored this terra cotta lady planter, so reminiscent of the Tuscan countryside. She is so versitile and can be used in so many ways and locations. She is actually my second lady, having originally purchased her about two years ago. Broken when a tree fell on our house last spring, I mourned her and determined to replace her as soon as may be. I have grown several plants in her crown as her "hair." In winter, I have used bronze sedges; in spring, maidenhair ferns; and in summer, blooming plants along with ivy. All look equally charming and always evoke admiring comments from visitors to my home and garden. She has a very real character and presence.

The Terra Cotta Lady Planter is gorgeous!As soon as I saw this item, I knew it would be perfect for my mom's present. When it arrived I knew I had to buy one for myself, as well. She's tall and has a nice size head for planting plants. You could plant such a variety of flowers and vines that she could have a new look for all the seasons of the year! We call her the Goddess of the Garden!

Hattie RulesI totally 'dig' my terra cotta Lady. Her name is now Hattie and she is sporting some seriously fabulous Mondo grass that starts at her 'roots' with an emerald green before quickly darkening to a rich eggplant color that complements her skin tone. The grass hangs and spikes perfectly as the 'mane' attraction but who could resist adding a crown of hens & chicks in the same colors only reversed. Large blooms adorning her high forehead and spilling down her cheek make her look stylish and fun. Lovely.

favorite on the deck!I love this planter. I had to order this second one when my son tearfully broke the first by accident. It looks lovely with most any plant as her "hair" and I get admiring comments often from friends. The first had aged to a lovely green in just a couple of summers. She is not too heavy as I filled the bottom half with some plastic to eliminate the need to pack with dirt before planting.

Great addition to my patio gardenAn unusual piece that gets lots of attention and comments. It was larger than I expected but I love it. I planted it with succulents that have cascading tendrils and it looks like she has hair. Very glad I purchased this item as I am with my previous Ballard purchases.

Garden Goddess!This planter is truly unique in the garden and allows for fun among the flowers. This is my second season to enjoy her presence. The piece is solid, sturdy and looks like a found treasure from another time and place. The designers understood the need for planting space in creating a deep enough "well" for potting soil and I've enjoyed "dressing" her differently each year where her "hat" is concerned. I've found that the side of her that gets the least sun will turn a lovely mossy green from the shade and moisture, giving her an even more artistic and ancient look, but in a good way! For you or for a gift, you will truly enjoy finding just the right flowers for her head dress and the right spot where you can enjoy her knowing look in your garden or on your patio. Thanks, Ballard!

I Love This PlanterI love this planter! It is so unusual and fits great in my sunroom. Unique Accent For The HomeI've been wanting a head planter for a few years now, but they are usually over 100 dollars. When I saw this planter and the great price, I had to order. It is ADORABLE. I love to have unique accents throughout my home and garden and this surely fits the bill. It is large, heavy, and beautifully detailed. It is hollow inside and has a drainage hole at the bottom. Perfect. I plan to use mine inside with a houseplant. This is one of my most favorite purchases in quite some time.

great valueI used the terra cotta Lady planter in an arrangement for a client. She added just the right amount of whimsey! I almost bought a similar piece locally, but the price was double. She turned out to be a great value.
