I also got the matching bed side table which is also lovely for a beach feel. I am perplexed by the extra +6 inches of length which leaves a huge gap from my queen mattress. Aren’t mattress sizes very standard? I got some thick foam blocks that I stuffed at the top of the bed so my pillows don’t fall down and it’s much better.

Rated 3 out of 5 by JessD from No white glove delivery, large gap Disappointed to know this wasnt offered via white glove delivery and that we had to carry upstairs and put it together ourselves, which wasn’t super easy. The bed itself had a few dings / scratches. Also, as others have mentioned, there is a huge space between the mattress and bed, which is awkward. For the price, probably would’ve made a different decision if ordering a bed again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by KBurns615 from Color Is WAY Off- Pictures Are Edited I ordered this bed, the bedside tables and the bench to go in our new home. I thought what I’d get would look like the pictures. However, this rattan is NOT naturally finished. It looks more like an orangey-brown paint and I do not mean like the patina of legit antique rattan/bamboo. Thankfully, we needed several new bedroom suites and this will work for my son. Initially, I chose this versus the Serena & Lily to possibly go in our guest room— DO NOT get this if you’re looking for a less expensive alternative to the Serena & Lily. You’ll be disappointed! It’s very masculine IMHO.

Rated 3 out of 5 by sarah10 from Beautiful bed, weird dimensions Lovely bed but the dimensions are slightly off. There is about 6 inches between the mattress and the bed frame so if its at the top, your pillows slide down and if its at the bottom it's very exposed. You also have to pay a delivery charge which is fine but I ended up having to drive to the delivery warehouse to pick it up myself which was a pain and wish I wasn't charged for the delivery since it never happened. Other than that it's a gorgeous sturdy bed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Lucy H from Could be better This bed was difficult to put together because the screws are too short in certain places, you can see some of them after assembly, and one of the feet came broken (we can still use it because there are five feet under the center of the bed). It’s also very long for a queen sized mattress. I plan to keep it because it would be too hard to disassemble and send back, and it does look nice, but for the price it should be more quality construction.

The legs that came to screw in to slats fell apart and are very cheap. My headboard has a peeled off piece already. Not the quality i expected for the money it cost. Checking to see how much it would cost to send it back. Just not happy at all.

It is also too long and there is too much space between the mattress and end of bed frame. We have just donated it to Salvation Army. I’ve purchased so much from Ballard designs for our new home and this absolutely did not meet the standards we expected.

Rated 1 out of 5 by LBS7 from Can not assemble/parts are too short The 8 full threaded studs that are used to put this bed together are too short. They need to be an inch longer. Ballard needs to fix this problem before you buy this bed! Overall the bed is well made and very attractive but you can't buy it until they fix this issue.
