Please note: Any items that are monogrammed, customized, Customer's Own Material (COM), or made-to-order cannot be modified, cancelled, returned or exchanged unless damaged or defective. Defective items will be exchanged unless no longer available, in which case a Merchandise Certificate will be issued. Once a returned item is received in our warehouse, the return or exchange will be processed immediately. For credit card orders, you can expect to see your refund credit within 72 hours. For check and money orders, you can expect to receive your refund check within 7-10 business days.

What To Expect For Truck Deliveries

  1. After your items have shipped, you will be contacted by our delivery partner to schedule a day and 4 hour window for your delivery.
  2. When scheduling, share any restrictions or special circumstances that could impact your delivery including, but is not limited to:
    • Narrow roads
    • Restricted delivery times
    • Gated entrances
    • Proof of insurance requirements
    • Multiple flights of stairs
    • Service elevator restrictions
  3. Ensure that all items will fit through access points such as doorways, stairways, hallways, elevators, and around corners into the desired location.
  4. On the day of delivery, our delivery partner will call you approximately 30 minutes prior to arriving at your home.
  5. Please prepare for your delivery by ensuring clear pathways and removing any fragile items that could be damaged during the delivery. Our delivery provider is unable to move any existing furniture.
  6. Our delivery experience is contactless and your signature is not required. If you observe an imperfection, notify the delivery team and either refuse the item or contact us at 888-263-9850 for a resolution.

They are in good shape just dirt stained. No good way to clean them after awhile. It would be nice if there where slip cover replacements that could be taken off and cleaned since the cushions have alot of life left in them

However, the cushion needed to be replaced after the first year which is almost as expensive as the swing. Nothing has worked to keep it clean. An option for a different cushion upon purchase should be available. I wish there was an option for a slip cover instead of having to purchase a whole new replacement cushion.

I have used the recommended products to prevent staining and remove stains, I’ve scrubbed with every known cleaning prosuct, rag, brush, hose, you name it. No help! I wish they would of given an option for different fabric color when purchasing or porvide a slip cover. Bummer!

Coming here to add my voice to the chorus of frustration that Ballard only offers a replacement of the entire cushion, but no slipcover … AND that it’s only offered in ivory, which basically guarantees you’ll need to replace the (entire) thing every few years. Annoying. Bought the swing in summer 2015. It’s in great shape, but even after pressure washing the cushion every season (this does wonders to get stains out, by the way), it really needs to be replaced. I hate paying more than $400 for an item in the same stupid color that will require I do this again soon.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Needs a zipper After multiple scrubbing attempts to get stains out of our cushion cover to no avail, we just had to cut the end so we could take the cover off to wash it. Now, we have to take it to a seamstress to install a zipper. But, it’s clean now and we didn’t have to fill a landfill with the perfectly fine cushion we had. It just needed to be washed well! If no zipper, then Ballard should consider slip covers!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor quality I just received the replacement cushion in Azure and was very disappointed in the quality of the replacement. They used black thread instead of a matching blue and there are several spots that are sewn unevenly, so that with the contrasting thread color it sticks out like a sore thumb. It wouldn’t be so bad if it happened to be in a spot that isn’t obvious, but the worst spot is right along the front of the cushion. I would have expected much better quality based on the price I paid.

However, the white cushions began recording a history of everyone who sat in the swing and especially those who folded their feet under them. EVERY bit of dirt found a permanent home on the cushion and at this point it's so dirty looking that it's ready for the garbage. Even at a sale price, new cushions shouldn't have to be a necessary purchase, especially after a few months!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lovely swing, horrible fabric on cushions I hate to join the chorus but anyone purchasing this swing should know that although it is absolutely lovely, wonderfully comfortable, and my very favorite place to sit on our porch, I agree with the other reviews that the fabric of the cushions is not acceptable. In truth, it really is not a cover, it is the base fabric (natural colored) from which the cushion is made. Ours is also on a covered porch, and has mildewed dreadfully. It looks very unattractive. The Sunbrella pillows I purchased separately for the swing at the same time have held up perfectly and look beautiful. Ballard is an expensive company with quality products, and they should do something about this fabric. At this price point, this should not be the quality.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wonderful Swing Overshadowed by Fabric Quality Love the Sunday swing! However, the quality of the fabric is inexcusable. A company as wonderful as Ballards with which I have worked many times, has access to untold fabric options and can provide a better standard covering for this wonderful swing! Almost immediately, the pillows had small mildew spots. I chalked them up to spills and I scrubbed them away. After 1.5 seasons on a covered porch and bringing the pillows inside in off-season and long absences, the fabric is now generally full of tiny milldew/mold. No other fabric on our porch has this problem.

They mildew and stain easily (pollen, dust/ dirt from environment) but the most egregious flaw is they cannot be removed and washed. I have tried many kinds of cleaning products to little success. As a last resort, purchasing replacements are prohibitively expensive.

Color is off and my cushions are mildewed and discolored after two summers under a covered porch area. Replacement cushions are ridiculously expensive so I will have to go to the expense to recover. Not happy about that at all!

I read the reviews before I purchased it and was concerned about the poor quality of the cushions before I bought. I purchased the cushions anyway because it went with the swing. The reviews are very accurate. My cushions have green mildew that won't come off. I've scrubbed it with a brush and still nothing came off. I also agree with other reviewers that the replacement cushions are overpriced. Five stars for the swing and -5 stars for the cushions. Come on, Ballard Designs, you can do better. The cushions do not live up to the quality/standard of other Ballard Design products.

I have to cover mine with a sheet to make it presentable. The cushion is thin and not comfortable. I plan to have a cushion made for my swing. $349 for another cushion like this would be ridiculous! I do love the swing!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed I am terribly disappointed with the fabric of this swing. It was under a roof and within months it was so filthy I was embarrassed for anybody to see it. Nothing would clean it. It’s a shame that we have to spend more on fabric in order to have a swing that costs that much money!
