Beautiful, classy outdoor lights.These lanterns look great and provide a soft light as opposed to a brighter harsh light. The 3 settings allow enough light as you need. They enhance our patio look with the updated styling and we've had many compliments. I recommend them.

So attractive and usefulI was taken in by the charming beehive design of these lights, which we will use in the "outdoor room" of our front porch. They look great in person, and surpassed our expectations on the quality front. Super attractive in person. The light is really easy to charge and operate, and offers three settings for brighter or softer lights. We ordered both sizes, and couldn't be happier with them.

Lovely, soft glow perfect for summer nightsThese solar lanterns are really lovely, with a soft glow that is very soothing and substantial. I like that we have the option to charge them via USB on cloudy days. I hope they last a long time. Too bad we cannot replace the lithium battery when it no longer charges.

These are wonderful!Can't wait for warmer weather to use these in my backyard. They are brighter than any other solar lantern I have tried. The dimmer option and two ways to charge are great features. Plus they look fabulous! I have only given four stars because I don't know how they will hold up and how long they will hold a charge. I would recommend these.

Solar LED Lanternsleek design and well made. I live in New England where the days are shorter in the winter months, which is not enough sun to fully charge the battery, resulting in only 1 hour it stays lit. When charged via an electrical outlet, it stays lit for 6 hours.

Looks Great in PhotosSimply elegant. Construction was not quite 5 star when it arrived. But it looks great in photos! Don't be surprised if the strap falls off. It looks like leather. It's really plastic. I'm still very happy with them. The design is fantastic.

nice light, but not perfect.this is going to look great around our pool area. it puts out a nice amount of light, will look good on a cocktail table or just on the ground. however, they cannot get rained on (they will be unusable if they get water in them and the tops do leak) so you have to keep them undercover, which makes them hard to charge as a solar. they do come with USB charging.

Beautiful glowI purchased two and they look fabulous on my deck. The light can be a bright white glow. Negative: one lantern stopped charging after just a few months. I removed the screws to replace the battery only to find the rechargeable battery is welded in and cannot be removed. Disappointed especially at the price I paid.

Lantern operationI ordered two lanterns. One lantern provides light for about 7 hours with a solar charge backed up by an electronic charger. The other lantern is sometimes erratic, and generally will provide about 4 hours of light with a solar charge backed up by an electronic charger. Both lanterns should provide the same amount of lighting. If this continues, I plan to contact customer service.

Appearance and functionThe items are rather large and are larger than I expected and take up a lot of space. I kind of like them, but my wife does not. It would be nice if they had a feature that would have them turn on at dusk automatically. They have to be turned and off manually.

Liked not lovedGot a few of these for use on my porch. Ultimately ended up returning them. They are solid and well made, nice shape, but looked really plastic to me, not the organic look I was looking for. Also light was pretty cold and bright, even on the dimmest setting. Felt more like an actual light for illuminating things than warm ambiance lighting, which was what I was looking for.

Love but DisappointedI love these lanterns so much - have the large and the small. But they disappointingly won't hold a good charge after only having them for about 2 years. First off, they have NEVER stayed lit for 6-8 hours, even after charging via the USB cable. But now, If I get 3 hours, I'm lucky. And the it seems the battery is not replacable. Very disappointing for the price point of these - expect more from Ballard.

Nice looking but underperfomingCould be so much better. The solar feature doesn't seem to do the trick and you will have to charge this to use it. I can't figure out how long the charge lasts but I turn it on and the next time I go outside it is already off. It doesn't make sense to me how my cheap lawn solar lighting lasts all night but I can't count on this light lasting long enough for my kids to get home and have the extra lighting on the front porch. Great looking, just an underperformer.

Beautiful- NOT waterproof!!!!I bought two of these for my husband for Christmas. They give a beautiful light. However, over a month ago they stopped working. We did keep them outside- they are not waterproof. I guess we had assumed a solar lamp was going to be safe outside. They no longer work…a lot of money for a short time of enjoyment…
