Love this, and just superb packagingThis is a beautiful, sturdy shelf (I chose the large) with great curves and understated elegance. The brushed gold is a perfect, neutral tone. I was really worried when it was delivered in a huge box, but even my husband (who complains a lot) said the packaging was perfection - great protection and very easy to unpack.

BEAUTIFULI bought a Etagere from Frontgate but it arrived with the paint chipping off. I returned it and then I found this one, which is really more my style. The gold is not shiny, it's a matted finish. "Very elegant" is the best way I can describe it. It is perfect for displaying my Lladro collection. I have some very tall pieces & they fit very nicely.

just beautiful!these are beautiful! i bought the 2 side ones also. i will need to brace them to my wall as my floor is uneven and they all lean forward. the color is between a med bronze and gold, just perfect for my bdrm. i'm 66 and was able to unpack and take up stairs by myself..one of the glass shelves on the large etagere didnt fit so i left to settle overnight and it fit right in...

Beautiful and clean piece!As an interior designer, I purchased the smaller etagere...and love it! Clean and simple and to the point. The finish is a definite antique brass -- it is NOT a polished brass and NOT a champagne finish (implies silver with gold). However, it appears to be a powder coated finish (think painted) over steel and not a real brass. Just make note. Nonetheless, it is subtle and soft with no brassiness or harshness to it.
I filled the etagere with books, layering some sideways and others standing up on the layered books. There is substantial height to several of the shelves to fill, so just be aware.
The piece came with various hardware to anchor into the wall. I didn't expect this and did not use it. The etagere (when filled at least) was perfectly stable and was going nowhere! The packaging was one of the best -- and easiest to open and remove-- I have ever seen and experienced for such a large piece. Someone did some intelligent planning. This is a terrific buy.

Just what I was looking for!I can't say enough about this beautiful addition to our living/family room. I purchased it to replace an existing unit that appeared too heavy for the spot we needed to fill. Everything about this etagere is heavy duty yet delicate to the eye. That said, I would caution folks with very young children to anchor this unit to the wall to avoid a catastrophe as this is not meant for climbing!

Love it! Also, it was really well-packaged.We purchased two of these etageres and absolutely love them. They are sturdy, well-made, very attractive, blend with many types of decor and lovely.
We were also impressed with how well they were packaged, so that they arrived in perfect condition.
We received notices about the prospective ship date, reminders about the expected delivery and then phone calls to set-up and confirm delivery. So, the service from both Ballard and their shipping provider was excellent.

Beautiful and not brassy!I ordered all three pieces as shown in the catalog and I am so happy with how it looks in my living room. I was concerned that the color might be too gold or brassy, but it is more of a "champagne" color that is subtle and very elegant. Very well packaged too, although it took a long time to unwrap everything and created a mountain of trash/recycling!

Exactly what we were looking for- tall, not too deep and clean lines.Great look; came incredibly well packed. Took a while to unpack but everything was included. We even anchored it to the wall as hooks were included for that feature and we were able to hide the anchors behind the back sides of the etagere.

Beautiful pieceThis is a beautiful etagere. The color in the picture is accurate. It's kind of a muted gold, not too shiny. It comes completely put together minus the glass shelves which you just slip on upon unwrapping. I am very pleased with this piece.

great etagere, but finish not perfectproduct came quickly and was delivered by freight. They brought it right into the living room which was by the front door. Put it in place and attached it to the wall to prevent tip overs. Unfortunately the finish was poorly done in some corners.

Simple and beautifulI love this piece. Using it in my living room. Glass shelves are thick and sturdy. The metal is flawless. I bought the smaller one to go in the foyer! It lost 1 Star in the rating because I would love for it to have adjustable feet. Only comes with thin felt pads (to protect floors) however we have an older home with thin slat hardwood that is not totally level in spots. I’ve had to play with felt shims to level the piece. A small complaint, but I’ve come to expect the best from Ballard!
