Please note: Any items that are monogrammed, customized, Customer's Own Material (COM), or made-to-order cannot be returned or exchanged unless damaged or defective. Defective items will be exchanged unless no longer available, in which case a Merchandise Certificate will be issued. Once a returned item is received in our warehouse, the return or exchange will be processed immediately. For credit card orders, you can expect to see your refund credit within 72 hours. For check and money orders, you can expect to receive your refund check within 7-10 business days.

Standard Shipping

Smaller items are shipped via standard ground service. In-stock items will generally arrive in 3-7 business days.

How do you calculate standard shipping charges?

Orders under $200 will be charged 15% of the total order value. Orders $200.01+ will be charged 10% of the total order value with a cap at $300.

All shipping charges are based on the original retail price of the product prior to any discounts being applied.

*Orders placed in Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico & US Virgin Islands will have additional costs.

Expedited Shipping

For faster delivery and additional fee, we offer Next Business Day and Two Business Day express service. Express orders received by 4 pm EST are shipped the same day.

Truck Delivery

Larger items are delivered via a truck delivery partner and will generally be available for delivery 2-3 weeks after shipping.

Please note: We provide two options for Truck delivery service, Threshold and In-Home. See below for specifics.

All items delivered by Truck Delivery- Threshold will be charged an additional freight delivery fee of $35/item. You may upgrade your delivery experience to our In-Home Truck Delivery at your discretion for an additional $25 per item in addition to any other freight delivery fees. Threshold Truck Delivery

Items are unloaded by the driver and placed inside the first-floor doorway, garage, or covered area of your choice. If the home is a multi-dwelling building, the items will be delivered inside the residence. No assembly is included. Packaging removal is available by upgrading to “In-Home” Truck Delivery. Please note: All items delivered by Threshold Truck Delivery will be charged an additional freight delivery fee of $35/item.

Items designated for Truck Delivery may be upgraded to our In-Home Truck Delivery service at your discretion for an additional $25 per item in addition to any other freight delivery fees. See In-Home Truck Delivery below.

In-Home Truck Delivery Recommended

On many larger items, like furniture, you have the option to upgrade the delivery experience to In-Home Truck Delivery. Some items only ship via In-Home Truck Delivery. With our In-Home Truck Delivery service, the item will be brought inside in your home, unpacked, placed in its final destination, and packaging materials removed. Assembly is not included.

Truck Delivery Scheduling

After your items have shipped, you will be contacted by our delivery partner to schedule a day for your delivery.

When scheduling, share any restrictions or special circumstances. This includes, but is not limited to narrow roads, restricted delivery times, gated entrances, proof of insurance requirements, multiple flights of stairs, and service elevator restrictions. Ensure your items will fit through any access points such as doorways, stairways, hallways, elevators, and around corners.

What to expect for Delivery

The day before your delivery, you will receive a call with your four-hour delivery window. Our delivery partner will call you approximately 30 minutes prior to arriving at your home. Please prepare by clearing pathways and removing any fragile items that could be damaged during the delivery. Our delivery partner is unable to move any existing furniture.

Accepting your Delivery

If you observe an imperfection, note it when signing the delivery paperwork and either refuse the item or contact us for resolution by calling Customer Service at 1-800-367-2775 or the store where you made your purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Color and Texture not as expected Had high expectations for this rug but unfortunately the coloring in the photos is different in person. Expected varying shades of cream and found that it is actually a darker beige/brown color that did not go with our dining room. The indoor/outdoor classification seems deceptive as the rug is plush and wouldn't appear to hold up well to traffic and spills in our dining room. The good news is that Ballard is great with returns. Only had to pay a $8.95 fee to ship back the 8x10 rug.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Color not what I expected I ordered the cream/beige version. On my computer, it looks like the rug's pattern is made with a lovely taupe color. In person, the "taupe"/dark color in the picture was sort of a golden/brown/coppery color. This won't work in my space and will have to go back. Aside from being the wrong color for my room, I just didn't find the color very attractive at all (if I had, I would have found another spot for it in my house to avoid the hassle of returning).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Love it - so soft, but snags... not great for wear This rug is gorgeous and very soft under the feet. Unfortunately, it snags easily and there are all sorts of tufts and pulls. I will have to replace this "inexpensive" rug with one that's more expensive. Save your money if you want something to last - the price is good, but there's a reason for that.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beautiful rug, but... I gave this rug 2 stars, because the customer service was wonderful, and the rug itself looks beautiful. However, within 30 minutes of putting it was damaged. The dog walked on it, and my son also sat on it and just rubbed his fingers over it, saying how nice it was (and a loop hole came out). So needless to say, this is a very very very fragile rug, and expensive for the quality. If you really want it, make sure you have a rug pad taped(which we did), and it has to be put where there are no pets and almost no traffic.

The lighter part is much more raised than the darker part. The darker part also has brown stripes in it. I ended up sending it back. This is my first purchase from Ballard I was not happy with.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beautiful but not durable I was excited to find an indoor/outdoor rug that was fitting for our room decor and I thought would be durable enough to handle 3 boys. This is not it. Pulling it out of the packaging already had snags and pulls in the weave but I didn't make a big deal of it because I thought you wouldn't see them. Five days later and the snags have doubled and already looks worn, despite being in a low traffic area. This rug will not stand the test of time. Pretty from a distance, useful if you're NOT going to walk on it. I give it a year before I have to replace it...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not wear well A previous reviewer commented that the loops in the rug become unraveled easily but I decided to gamble on this rug. It’s been in our living room for one month and I have had to cut many of the unraveled loops and many others have pulled as well (see pictures). Because of the texture, debris gets stuck in the weave and isn’t picked up by the vacuum cleaner. I would not buy this rug and am in fact going to exchange it for a different rug.

As in yarn that easily tangles and you can pull out... As in yarn that attracts and traps dog hair... As in yarn that gets stuck in the vacuum cleaner and clogs the suction. It is a familie’s worse nightmare of a rug. Don’t be tempted by the beautiful look of this rug unless you don’t have kids, pets, or you yourself don’t ever plan on walking on it or vacuuming it, like ever!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rug unravelling This rug is less than a year old (and we are away for the winter, so it really has had only 4 months of use), and it is unravelling badly. I first noticed random strands of yarn coming out, now entire clumps of the rug are coming loose. The household consists of two adults - no kids, no animals - so there is no excuse for this deterioration. A shame because I liked the look of it very much.

Within two days, the rugs had dozens of pulled loops and I knew it had to go back. No way could this last outdoors. The customer service was wonderful regarding my return.

Unfortunately when the rug was delivered and I opened it, it looks absolutely nothing like the picture. I would definitely not recommend it in the cream. I will say it got here super fast so that's one plus.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rug destroyed by first vaccum This rug looked awesome and I was so excited to roll it out. I was surprised at how high the piling was but was fine with it. Unfortunately it's like a looped rug for the higher blue part of the rug. I pulled up some on the end and it destroyed that part of the carpet. I turned it so that would be under the couch and was trying to be so careful every time I vacuumed but I have had this out for maybe two months and the vaccum has totally destroyed both the 8x10 and runner I bought. total waste of 1000 dollars

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks great, not for pets or heavy wear My designer and I researched thoroughly for a nice looking rug that would stand up to the wear and tear of a 70 lb dog. We thought this rug would strike a nice balance in design and wear given that it's an indoor/outdoor rug. Unfortunately it doesn't and that became obvious as soon as the first day. It started showing pulls almost immediately. It's a great looking rug and if you don't have a pet I would think you would be pleased with it. Pictures below of how it's held up after just 2 months. Unfortunately not what I was hoping for after spending almost $200 on it. Very disappointing and I wish product descriptions helped out with pet use more than they do or at least make mention of it. The search for a nice looking runner that holds up to a pet goes on!
