Rated 4 out of 5 by Christene01 from Great Bookcase I really love the look and style of this bookcase. It comes in one enormous box with glass packed within the box inside another box. That’s where the true weight is and was heavy on one side of the box for this reason. We unpacked it with ease and noticed two of the center pegs with plastic covers were missing on the bottom shelf that hold the weight of the glass evenly distributed in the middle. I called customer service for them to send out a couple and they don’t offer that. We thought we were going to have to pack it all up and call for a pick up. I called my local store and asked if they could remove the pegs from their display of this bookcase and they were happy to help and sent it to me within a week of me calling. It was easy to place the four shelves on and I added some accessories. We had to tuck it into the side of the small sofa we are renting until we move in another year. Unfortunately we don’t have enough space, but I wanted this bookcase anyways. Our home burnt down from a lightning bolt while we were on vacation. We are replacing all home furnishings. I shop at our local Jacksonville store and really enjoy that Ballard Design location and shop on-line as well. When I saw this bookcase when walking out the door after shopping, I knew then I was buying this piece of furniture. Very good looking and classic in style. You won’t tire of it. I’m using it temporarily in a small rental with carpet. We cannot wait to rebuild and put this in our home office on wood floors. It will be beautiful and fully seen then. For now this location will do.
