Rated 5 out of 5 by patriciainloveland from Great light after minor change We installed the Remington 6-light chandelier in our living room. We bought it because we prefer lights that are shaded rather than exposed bulbs. At first we didn't like how the chandelier looked. There are plastic, fake, drippy wax "candles" inside the shade which made the light look cheap. We bought some 6-inch, black plastic "candles" and replaced the ones that came with the chandelier. Now we are so happy with it! It looks much classier and fits better with the rest of the room. Also of note: this light will be the focal point of the room that you put it in. When we first installed it, we had a painting above the mantle, done by my grandmother. The light and the painting competed for attention and the room seemed busy. When we moved the painting to another room and replaced it with a mirror, the room clicked.

Traditional light with a modern touch. Looked at so many similar light fixtures but my first inclination was the Remington and it turned out to be the perfect fit!. My only "criticism " and its minor, would be making the shade without a seam. Not enough of an issue to me to send it back. If your looking for clean modern lines this could be the perfect lighting!

And we lived in fear a bulb would burn out, since everything required getting on a ladder and taking the glass bell down. We finally faced the limitations of our impending geezerhood and replaced it with this beauty which is easy to dust and we can easily reach the bulbs. We now leave the dimmed light on all day. We’re thrilled with this purchase.
