Once a returned item is received in our warehouse, the return or exchange will be processed immediately. For credit card orders, you can expect to see your refund credit within 72 hours. We offer Two Business Day or Next Business Day Expedited Shipping on many items. Expedited orders received by 4 pm ET Monday–Friday are shipped the same day.

Expedited order cut-offs may vary during weeks surrounding a federally recognized holiday.

What To Expect For Truck Deliveries

  1. After your items have shipped, you will be contacted by our delivery partner to schedule a day and 4 hour window for your delivery.
  2. When scheduling, share any restrictions or special circumstances that could impact your delivery including, but is not limited to:
    • Narrow roads
    • Restricted delivery times
    • Gated entrances
    • Proof of insurance requirements
    • Multiple flights of stairs
    • Service elevator restrictions
  3. Ensure that all items will fit through access points such as doorways, stairways, hallways, elevators, and around corners into the desired location.
  4. On the day of delivery, our delivery partner will call you approximately 30 minutes prior to arriving at your home.
  5. Please prepare for your delivery by ensuring clear pathways and removing any fragile items that could be damaged during the delivery. Our delivery provider is unable to move any existing furniture.
  6. Our delivery experience is contactless and your signature is not required. If you observe an imperfection, notify the delivery team and either refuse the item or contact us at 888-263-9850 for a resolution.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Functional and beautiful! For our mudroom we ordered 2 owen benches that are flanked by an owen cabinet on each end (4 total pieces), all in gray. They are well-made, sturdy and beautiful- we love them and also receive compliments constantly. One suggestion for Ballard would be to make coordinating bench cushions for a more finished look.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Look great, very functional, assembly required I purchased 2 of these cabinets in rubbed black and paired them with a bench from another store in between them to make it look like a complete set. They looked strange without a bench. My kids use them for their backpacks/coats/shoes in our entryway. They have adjustable shelves the kids keep their homework papers on below their backpacks. The drawers are very large and deep, you can easily keep boots in them. I was surprised that they come in 2 boxes per piece, so there is some minimal assembly...that is not included with the extra shipping & special delivery charge. It took 3 people to attach the pieces together, but it could be done with 2. You have to lift the top cabinet and glue & match up the pegs to the pull out drawer cabinet. It was well worth the purchase, I love it and haven't found anything like it anywhere else!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cost saving option over built-ins I wanted a built-in entry way system but after pricing both a cabinetry option at $6000 before installation and carpentry option at $5300 I decided to take a serious look at modular. It doesn't have the longstanding durability of a built in because the doors and materials are thinner than what you would have built, but my husband and I are thrilled that we achieved the look and gained the storage that we wanted. Our contractor built the alcove with not much wiggle room but we could have used another half inch on either side because the outside doors don't option 100% due to the door placement. We also raised it on a platform to get our 6" wall base to fit around the furniture. Overall the total cost was at least a third of what we would have paid and that money was precious since we were doing a total condo gut renovation!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very functional! This product is what we needed for a home with no entryway closet! You definitely need two people to assemble it :). The product was missing some assembly parts (dowels) when it arrived so we decided to use a sharp kitchen knife and plastic writing pen (sans the ink) to create the missing dowels and assemble the product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice design, low quality These cabinets are a great design, nice looking, and very functional, but the quality is poor. The doors of the cabinets are warped and do not close all the way. The first set of cabinets I received were warped and I returned them for new ones. The second set weren't warped, but the cabinet doors are low quality and quickly became warped a few weeks later. Very disappointing quality for the price. For this price there are much higher quality products available.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Some problems with quality I've had the Owen cabinet and bench for less than 6 months. From the very beginning the doors were not flush when closed, but as with many import furniture items, I've learn to expect some problems and thought I could live with it. About a couple months ago, the paint (I have the distressed black) along the front door panels of the cabinet began to peel off the edges. That I could not live with. Especially at these prices. For $300 more, I could have had a closet company install a small built-in for the nook in my entryway. I've submitted my complaint, now let's see if BD will stand behind their product.

I've had this just under a year and the doors don't sit flush on the bottom any more and the edges of the doors on are starting to shift so you can see the finish being cracked/pulled apart. I'm using this for my shoes and don't have it over full either with little use as it's been winter and heels are being kept in it. For as much as this cost I didn't this would have been an issue just under a year of buying it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Quality Is Fair Sorry to be the dissenting vote. I think that this cabinet is way overpriced for the quality. Most of it is not solid wood and it has a very strong chemical smell. I hope, with some airing out, the smell will go away. The doors are VERY lightweight and rattle terribly when opened and closed. The best thing about the cabinet is the shelves. They ARE solid wood and have a nice smooth finish. The drawer opens and closes easily. If this cabinet needs to be used numerous times daily I don't think it will hold up well at all. I took a chance on it, knowing it would not really be practical to return it, but I would definitely not recommend this cabinet. My personal preference was to change the knobs, drawer pull and hinges to satin nickle and I like that look better.
