Please carefully inspect your order upon delivery. If you receive damaged or defective merchandise, you may contact our Customer Service department at 1-800-536-7551 and a representative will be glad to arrange a return or exchange for you.

Please note: Any items that are monogrammed, customized, Customer's Own Material (COM), or made-to-order cannot be returned or exchanged unless damaged or defective. Defective items will be exchanged unless no longer available, in which case a Merchandise Certificate will be issued. Once a returned item is received in our warehouse, the return or exchange will be processed immediately. For credit card orders, you can expect to see your refund credit within 72 hours. For check and money orders, you can expect to receive your refund check within 7-10 business days.

Standard Shipping

Smaller items are shipped via standard ground service. In-stock items will generally arrive in 3-7 business days.

Some bulky or heavy items have an additional $10/item oversized handling fee.

Please note: Items ordered at the same time may not be delivered together. Allow three additional days if your order includes personalized items.

How do you calculate standard shipping charges?

Orders under $200 will be charged 15% of the total order value. Orders $200.01+ will be charged 10% of the total order value with a cap at $350.

All shipping charges are based on the original retail price of the product prior to any discounts being applied.

*Orders placed in Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico & US Virgin Islands will have additional costs.

Expedited Shipping

For faster delivery and additional fee, we offer Next Business Day and Two Business Day express service. Express orders received by 4 pm EST are shipped the same day.

Expedited Delivery Charges (for orders under 10 lbs.)

Can I pick up items from your store?

Sure. With Ship to Store delivery, you can purchase qualified items* online and have them sent to your closest retail store to pick-up. We’ll take care of the shipping costs. Click Here to find a store near you.

Truck Delivery

Larger items are delivered via a truck delivery partner and will generally be available for delivery 2-3 weeks after shipping.

Please note: We provide two options for Truck delivery service, Threshold and In-Home. See below for specifics.

All items delivered by Truck Delivery- Threshold will be charged an additional freight delivery fee of $40/item. You may upgrade your delivery experience to our In-Home Truck Delivery at your discretion for an additional $35 per item in addition to any other freight delivery fees. Threshold Truck Delivery

Items are unloaded by the driver and placed inside the first-floor doorway, garage, or covered area of your choice. If the home is a multi-dwelling building, the items will be delivered inside the residence. No assembly is included. Packaging removal is available by upgrading to “In-Home” Truck Delivery. Please note: All items delivered by Threshold Truck Delivery will be charged an additional freight delivery fee of $40/item.

Items designated for Truck Delivery may be upgraded to our In-Home Truck Delivery service at your discretion for an additional $35 per item in addition to any other freight delivery fees. See In-Home Truck Delivery below.

In-Home Truck Delivery Recommended

On many larger items, like furniture, you have the option to upgrade the delivery experience to In-Home Truck Delivery. Some items only ship via In-Home Truck Delivery. With our In-Home Truck Delivery service, the item will be brought inside in your home, unpacked, placed in its final destination, and packaging materials removed. Assembly is not included.

Truck Delivery Scheduling

After your items have shipped, you will be contacted by our delivery partner to schedule a day for your delivery.

When scheduling, share any restrictions or special circumstances. This includes, but is not limited to narrow roads, restricted delivery times, gated entrances, proof of insurance requirements, multiple flights of stairs, and service elevator restrictions. Ensure your items will fit through any access points such as doorways, stairways, hallways, elevators, and around corners.

What to expect for Delivery

The day before your delivery, you will receive a call with your four-hour delivery window. Our delivery partner will call you approximately 30 minutes prior to arriving at your home. Please prepare by clearing pathways and removing any fragile items that could be damaged during the delivery. Our delivery partner is unable to move any existing furniture.

Accepting your Delivery

If you observe an imperfection, note it when signing the delivery paperwork and either refuse the item or contact us for resolution by calling Customer Service at 1-800-367-2775 or the store where you made your purchase.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed I bought a version of this with a 3-cabinet credenza and a 1-cabinet credenza. Whereas it looks good it is not without flaws. 1. The corner desk piece: It is supported by one leg and then rests on two brackets attached to the underside of the top of each credenza. The brackets do not have pre-drilled holes. I had to do that myself. If the screws are not seated correctly they gouge into the top of the cabinets. This is meant to be against the wall to help with the support so if either the wall or floor is uneven the desk does not rest on the brackets completely. In addition, I use a Varidesk so I can stand sometimes while working and when I pull it up the whole desk moves forward and away from the wall. 2. The drawers: The handles are very difficult to grasp when opening. I would say a pinch with the thumb and index finger is the only way to do it. However, you can't get the file cabinets open because of their weight and need to pull open from the side. The double file cabinet has this mechanism that clicks when you open and close it. My guess is an attempt at a lock to keep it closed when so heavy. But the bottom drawer is already not clicking and does not close completely. I'll give this desk group a year before I'm tired of it and needs to be replaced. A waste time, effort and money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not stand the test of time. Don't waste your money! All of these reviews are upon first purchase of this desk, and I too, thought it was a great purchase. After having this desk for 2 years I can vouch for other reviews that state this desk does not stand the test of time. I take very good care of my furniture- and even more care when I'm spending a ton of money for a "quality" piece- I have a child free, pet free home, and use my office minimally. This desk has chipped over time from simply wiping it down- and has a terrible finish on top that scratches easily- and leaves terrible streaks when wiping down. Do not spend the money!!! It's not worth it. Buyer beware!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy!! This desk does NOT stand the test of time!! Buyer beware- this desk looks great for a while. However over time the paint easily flakes off and the top becomes streaky with the lightest touch. For the amount of money paid for this desk- one would expect it to last beyond 2 years. My husband and I live in an immaculate home, with no children or animals and this desk gets light use. It's sad that Ballard will not stand behind their products. They have lost a long time customer and designer- as I can not vouch for their products and customer service. Spend your money elsewhere!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not what it says it is! One of the main selling points of the Original Home Office products is that they are versatile and modular. I recently decided to size a three piece credenza down to a two piece and was going to order a new work surface to fit. Sadly they have changed all of the dimensions and the new work surface won't fit over my older cabinets, it's too small. I can't help but feel cheated, and like Ballard doesn't care about it's customers. They changed this product line midstream, making it impossible for old to fit with new, and yet still claim it's modular and offers design flexibility. Hmmm...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hi Price but Bargain Basement Quality We've purchased a very expensive Home Office set about 2 years ago with 3 desks, multiple cabinets and storage hutches. After 2 years, the furniture is coming apart. Paint is wearing off in multiple places and it's starting to look like junk. These pieces appear to be made with very cheap soft woods that mar easily and paint that will flake off easily. Avoid this product. For the price, it's extremely poor quality.

I have used this desk (in tuscan brown) for a little over a year, purchased it in 10/2010. The stain is so bad, some parts scratched during assembly, which by the way was done our carpenter as a favor. It only kept scratching, now especially the corner desk, where it gets the most use, looks like it's 20 years old. Looks nice at first but does not stand the test of time. By the way the office chair that matches this is also broken, the wheel came off with a piece of wood. Not fixable.
