If you're not happy, we're not happy. That's where our "Love It or Send It Back" policy comes in. If you're dissatisfied with your Ballard purchase for any reason, you can return it within 90 days of the ship date for an exchange or full refund* (excluding Shipping & Processing fees).

You are invited to try items within our Best of Ballard collection risk-free for 30 days. If you're not satisfied, we will refund the purchase price AND shipping costs. Best of Ballard items are exempt from additional discounts and free shipping offers.

Please carefully inspect your order upon delivery. If you receive damaged or defective merchandise, you may contact our Customer Service department at 1-800-536-7551 and a representative will be glad to arrange a return or exchange for you.

Please note: Any items that are monogrammed, customized, Customer's Own Material (COM), or made-to-order cannot be modified, cancelled, returned or exchanged unless damaged or defective. Defective items will be exchanged unless no longer available, in which case a Merchandise Certificate will be issued. Once a returned item is received in our warehouse, the return or exchange will be processed immediately. For credit card orders, you can expect to see your refund credit within 72 hours. For check and money orders, you can expect to receive your refund check within 7-10 business days.

Fees

Orders equal to and under $200 will be charged 15% of the total order value.

Orders over $200 will be charged 10% of the total order value with a cap at $350.

All shipping charges are based on the original retail price of the product prior to any discounts being applied.

Expedited Shipping

Delivery Time

We offer Two Business Day or Next Business Day Expedited Shipping on many items. Expedited orders received by 4 pm ET Monday–Friday are shipped the same day.

Expedited order cut-offs may vary during weeks surrounding a federally recognized holiday.

Rates start at $25 for Two Business Day and $35 for Next Business Day and increase based on the size of your order. The amount will be calculated at check out or call us for a quote.

  • On many larger items, like furniture, you have the option to upgrade the delivery experience to In-Home Truck Delivery.

  • With our In-Home Truck Delivery service, the item will be brought inside in your home, unpacked, placed in its final destination, and packaging materials removed.
  • Assembly is not included.

What To Expect For Truck Deliveries

  1. After your items have shipped, you will be contacted by our delivery partner to schedule a day and 4 hour window for your delivery.
  2. When scheduling, share any restrictions or special circumstances that could impact your delivery including, but is not limited to:
    • Narrow roads
    • Restricted delivery times
    • Gated entrances
    • Proof of insurance requirements
    • Multiple flights of stairs
    • Service elevator restrictions
  3. Ensure that all items will fit through access points such as doorways, stairways, hallways, elevators, and around corners into the desired location.
  4. On the day of delivery, our delivery partner will call you approximately 30 minutes prior to arriving at your home.
  5. Please prepare for your delivery by ensuring clear pathways and removing any fragile items that could be damaged during the delivery. Our delivery provider is unable to move any existing furniture.
  6. Our delivery experience is contactless and your signature is not required. If you observe an imperfection, notify the delivery team and either refuse the item or contact us at 888-263-9850 for a resolution.

My living room has teal in it, and I thought the Octavia bookcase would be a nice addition to a corner of the room. Not only is it a nice addition, it actually steals the show now. It's absolutely stunning. From the unique design to the gorgeous color, it's a scene stealer. I have many Ballard furniture pieces, this is by far my favorite.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It is pretty but... I really like the bookcase but... it is not as tall as I thought. It is my fault for not paying more attention to the dimensions. I know I can put something on the top of the bookcase to extend the height visually. The smell is very very strong. I hope it goes away. And, it took about 4 months to get to me. So, all in all, I like the product but there have been some bumps along the road. I ordered it in teal and the color is very true to the image.

I will leave it to air out for a few days and hope that resolves the issue .if it doesn't resolve, I will have to return. : (

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Unique Piece But Disappointed I did want to love this piece. It is unique in its' shape (especially the 2 octagon sections) but that is the best accolade I can give it. 1. The color is described as a "Soft Gloss White" and it is. However NOWHERE is the finish described as rustic, or shabby chic, or vintage, etc. I had expected the finish to be solid, but along the edges the paint was removed to create a rustic feel. 2. The back is just fiberboard, not solid wood. Mine had visible damage to the back. Ballard did credit some of my purchase price back because of the damage, but I was disappointed in the quality of the back. The description does not include the fact that the back is fiberboard.. It says the piece is made of hardwood and fine veneers. 3. I have discovered as I went to place a decorative piece on the top that there IS no top. I consider that a pretty big flaw. I view the top of any piece as an additional display area. So now, at my expense, I will have a piece of wood added so I can display items on the top of the cabinet. 4. As another reviewer mentioned, there is a fairly strong odor emanating from the piece. I had intended to purchase a second unit and display one on each side of my fireplace. I am rethinking that decision and am not certain I will move forward with purchasing the second one.
