Great multipurpose itemI love the Niles Double Coat Rack. I bought it because I knew there were many places where it could function in my house. I could place it in our entryway when we entertain and have guests with coats. I could place it in our basement where we could put our coats etc. when we walk in from the garage. I could put it in our guest room so that our guests would have plenty of room for their luggage and clothes. Or I could put it in my laundry room. We presently have it in our laundry room where it works so well I can't imagine ever moving it. Not only does it hold all of my normal hang up items from the dryer, there is still room for coats as well. We keep shoes on the bottom shelf and I use the top shelf and unused room on the double racks to hold various items that need to hang dry such as rugs, sweaters, bedding etc.

Very attractive and sturdy.Our church purchased this attractive rack to use in the Bridal Suite to hang wedding dresses and attendant dresses. It works great with the two sides to hang garments on and the overhead rack holds veils great! When not in use, it is so attractive, no one minds it being in their Sunday School room at all.

sturdy, functional and good-lookingI was lucky enough to get this great hanging rack on sale but it would have definitely been worth full price! It arrived quickly and was very well packed. My sister and I put it together in about 15 minutes, five of which were taken up reading directions. We were surprised at how sturdy and attractive it is! I'll be using it for coats and jackets in the mud room, along with a Ballard boot tray, at our snowy, icy, muddy mountain cabin. I love the upper and lower racks for hats and other cold weather clothing.

Large, attractive and sturdy!We bought this for our daughter, who has a small apartment with little closet space. She loves it. It came in a huge box, so we couldn't hide it and then give it to her for Christmas! It was not difficult to put together. It is very sturdy and attractive, holds a lot of clothes and accessories. I know she would recommend it.

This product is the best in its category that I have foundI love this rack. I am using it in an area that I am turning into a "Walk-In" closet. Charming and versatileI purchased the coat rack for my upstairs hall as a piece to temporarily hold laundry from the laundry room. Instead, it was so charming and looked substantial enough that I placed it in my living room near some double doors. It was easy to assemble and has a presence that really adds to my traditional decor, even without hanging coats on it. Highly recommend purchasers consider the versatility of the coat rack.

Beautiful as well as functionalI have purchased two of these for my adult daughter and her spouse (who are currently living with us while they look for a house!) We have two small closets in their room but they needed more space to organize their clothing. They are sturdy and we plan on using them for winter parties after our boarders leave.

Stylish and sturdyWe are using the Niles Double Coat Rack to hold excess clothing that will not fit into a closet. Aside from being able to hold so many clothes without tipping over or breaking (like other less expensive coat racks), this coat rack is beautiful. I love all of the items that I have bought from Ballard and am always surprised by the great quality of their products.

Absolutely worth every pennyafter purchasing several portable clothes racks, that can't hold any considerable weight, that break, that fall over leaving you to pick up all your guests coats
after spending a substantial amount of money on each one I've tried
This by far is the only rack I have found that is worth EVERY PENNY spent.
If I only had the money I spent on the cheaper models that fell, bent, and broke............
This is sturdy, adjustable, and easily moved (lightweight), and also looks more expensive then it really is.

Great ProductI purchased a Rubbermaid closet and it was so flimsy and half the parts weren't even there and I was thoroughly disgusted. I happened to get a Ballard Designs catalog shortly after that and there this coat rack was! It is absolutely perfect for my needs and very sturdy. I can hang a lot more on this rack and not worry about it collapsing. It was on the more expensive side but I know I will get a lot of use out of this rack for many years to come. I can put clothes in space bags and get full use out of this coat rack! Thanks Ballard Designs!

great productThis product is strudy and attractive. It looks great in a spare room we use as bedroom for company. The coat rack is being used as a closet, allowing guests a great way to unpack and hang their clothing. The bottom shelf is a great place for shoes, and to house baskets which guests can use as substitute drawers. It was a great buy!

Niles Coat Rack is a successI have been looking at this coat rack for over six months. Its purpose was to be an open closet for one of our guest rooms that did not have a closet.
