Please note: Any items that are monogrammed, customized, Customer's Own Material (COM), or made-to-order cannot be modified, cancelled, returned or exchanged unless damaged or defective. Defective items will be exchanged unless no longer available, in which case a Merchandise Certificate will be issued. Once a returned item is received in our warehouse, the return or exchange will be processed immediately. For credit card orders, you can expect to see your refund credit within 72 hours. For check and money orders, you can expect to receive your refund check within 7-10 business days.

Orders equal to and under $200 will be charged 15% of the total order value.

Orders over $200 will be charged 10% of the total order value with a cap at $350.

Delivery Time

We offer Two Business Day or Next Business Day Expedited Shipping on many items. Expedited orders received by 4 pm ET Monday–Friday are shipped the same day.

Expedited order cut-offs may vary during weeks surrounding a federally recognized holiday.

  • Assembly is not included.

What To Expect For Truck Deliveries

  1. After your items have shipped, you will be contacted by our delivery partner to schedule a day and 4 hour window for your delivery.
  2. When scheduling, share any restrictions or special circumstances that could impact your delivery including, but is not limited to:
    • Narrow roads
    • Restricted delivery times
    • Gated entrances
    • Proof of insurance requirements
    • Multiple flights of stairs
    • Service elevator restrictions
  3. Ensure that all items will fit through access points such as doorways, stairways, hallways, elevators, and around corners into the desired location.
  4. On the day of delivery, our delivery partner will call you approximately 30 minutes prior to arriving at your home.
  5. Please prepare for your delivery by ensuring clear pathways and removing any fragile items that could be damaged during the delivery. Our delivery provider is unable to move any existing furniture.
  6. Our delivery experience is contactless and your signature is not required. If you observe an imperfection, notify the delivery team and either refuse the item or contact us at 888-263-9850 for a resolution.

I cannot fault Ballard Designs, their customer service was great but there is something intrinsically wrong with these lights. I dont think they like being outdoors. Whatever is wrong, out of 5 sets zero sets worked longer that 3 days. After that they decided to program themselves to come on whenever they wanted and to twinkle whatever way they wanted. These are the first items I have gotten from Ballard Designs that their customer service could not correct.

And although the promo states they are a warm white next to my normal warm white exterior holiday lights they look almost yellow and hardly show. I have many topiaries and thought these lights would highlight the topiary balls that punctuate the low hedges as well as the ones in pots, but they were a disappointment. Next year I will wrap the topiary with normal string lights.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from These do not work as described. The recommended lithium batteries do not actually last a month, so it is costly to maintain these. One of our two sets of lights did not seem to be properly sensing the on and off times. Then they would flash on and off but do this 24/7. They stopped working altogether so we are left with one lit topiary, which looks silly. As a result, we have not bothered to replace batteries in the working set.
