If you're not happy, we're not happy. That's where our "Love It or Send It Back" policy comes in. If you're dissatisfied with your Ballard purchase for any reason, you can return it within 90 days of the ship date for an exchange or full refund* (excluding Shipping & Processing fees).

You are invited to try items within our Best of Ballard collection risk-free for 30 days. If you're not satisfied, we will refund the purchase price AND shipping costs. Best of Ballard items are exempt from additional discounts and free shipping offers.

If you don't absolutely love your new slipcovered seating or upholstered seating for any reason, return it within 10 days of delivery absolutely free – we'll even pay the return shipping. It's that simple. We guarantee it. Now doesn't that make you happy?

Please carefully inspect your order upon delivery. If you receive damaged or defective merchandise, you may contact our Customer Service department at 1-800-536-7551 and a representative will be glad to arrange a return or exchange for you.

Please note: Any items that are monogrammed, customized, Customer's Own Material (COM), or made-to-order cannot be modified, cancelled, returned or exchanged unless damaged or defective. Defective items will be exchanged unless no longer available, in which case a Merchandise Certificate will be issued. Once a returned item is received in our warehouse, the return or exchange will be processed immediately. For credit card orders, you can expect to see your refund credit within 72 hours. For check and money orders, you can expect to receive your refund check within 7-10 business days.

Expedited Shipping

Delivery Time

We offer Two Business Day or Next Business Day Expedited Shipping on many items. Expedited orders received by 4 pm ET Monday–Friday are shipped the same day.

Expedited order cut-offs may vary during weeks surrounding a federally recognized holiday.

Fees

Rates start at $25 for Two Business Day and $35 for Next Business Day and increase based on the size of your order. The amount will be calculated at check out or call us for a quote.

  • Items are unloaded by the driver and placed inside the first-floor doorway, garage, or covered area of your choice.
  • If the home is a multi-dwelling building, the items will be delivered inside the residence.

  • On many larger items, like furniture, you have the option to upgrade the delivery experience to In-Home Truck Delivery.
  • Some items only ship via In-Home Truck Delivery.
  • With our In-Home Truck Delivery service, the item will be brought inside in your home, unpacked, placed in its final destination, and packaging materials removed.
  • Assembly is not included.

What To Expect For Truck Deliveries

  1. After your items have shipped, you will be contacted by our delivery partner to schedule a day and 4 hour window for your delivery.
  2. When scheduling, share any restrictions or special circumstances that could impact your delivery including, but is not limited to:
    • Narrow roads
    • Restricted delivery times
    • Gated entrances
    • Proof of insurance requirements
    • Multiple flights of stairs
    • Service elevator restrictions
  3. Ensure that all items will fit through access points such as doorways, stairways, hallways, elevators, and around corners into the desired location.
  4. On the day of delivery, our delivery partner will call you approximately 30 minutes prior to arriving at your home.
  5. Please prepare for your delivery by ensuring clear pathways and removing any fragile items that could be damaged during the delivery. Our delivery provider is unable to move any existing furniture.
  6. Our delivery experience is contactless and your signature is not required. If you observe an imperfection, notify the delivery team and either refuse the item or contact us at 888-263-9850 for a resolution.

I would actually call and order it over the phone b/c the first order online arrived badly broken. When I called to get a new one shipped, the representative added a lot of "wrap with care" type instructions into the order notes for the supplier. I don't think you can add those notes yourself if ordering online. But it was worth the wait! So classic & whimsy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light - 5, stars, Ballard -2 stars? Let me preface this all by stating that this light fixture was truly the first thing I pinned on Pinterest, YEARS ago. I saw it in a Southern Living (?) article and hunted it down. I was so excited to finally splurge for it. It did not go all smoothly unfortunately. After the first one arrived broken, it was great to get the new one hung up. I was concerned about breaking the chandelier so I waited to unpack it -- very well packed, but maybe not enough - while the electrician was here. After discovering it was broken (one arm broken at the base), I immediately called Ballard. The next bits of communication were inconsistent. My first issue was the fact that I had to pay for my electrician to make a return trip once the new fixture arrived, and secondly, there was mixed messages about whether or not I needed to return the fixture. The new fixture did arrive fairly quickly, but I had to wait for the electrician's schedule. Again, I was careful with unpacking but this time also made sure all the packaging was intact for returning the broken item. Upon calling to get an update on my reimbursement for the installation, I was told I didn't need to send it back. I understand there are multiple people and departments involved but it was a little frustrating.... and even more frustrating that I have not heard back from Ballard's regarding the install. But I do love the light... it is stunning!
