Rated 5 out of 5 by Elle3 from Beautiful chandelier shades! These really are beautiful shades, so unique and the glow of the light is gorgeous! A little pricey, yes, but they gave me the exact aesthetic I was looking for. A little bit of glam without going overboard. And I love the fact that these shades have a 4-sided clip that holds them steady on the bulbs, it really is nice to not have to adjust them all the time, they stay solidly in place... very impressed!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nora JM from GORGEOUS! I searched and searched for shades to replace the old, ugly glass ones we inherited when we bought this house. I stumbled on these mica shades that truly are gorgeous beyond description. I wish my pictures did them justice, and I have included a pic of the lights on and of the lights off. The mica is soooo heavy duty! It is "hard," but that is not the right word; however, it is not a flimsy, cloth shade. The black along the bottom is so pretty, and the wires inside for the light bulbs insure that the shades stay secure and straight. These have been among my best purchases, and every time I see the chandelier, I think how much I love it now!

They look similar to parchment paper but more shimmery with a gloss coating. .I would have preferred there wasn’t a black border on the top and bottom but I am still happy with the overall look.

The mica aspect does not mean overly shiny but just gives the shades a little bit of polish. With the bulbs off the shades appear more grey with a touch of marbling. Lit up, they glow warmer, toward gold tones, allowing nice ambient light. I use LED warm bulbs. I like this updated look on my breakfast room chandelier.
