So far the table has held up great under trains and monster trucks. I did panic when I saw some scuffs made from some toys being dragged across it but a magic eraser got those right out. I did add a clear protectant coat.

After going to a Ballard store and seeing in person the various cocktail tables I had seen online, my husband and I agreed that the Melrose was the one that fit our needs, style, and living room. We had long ago bought a new sofa and comfy chair, but had kept the other pieces in the room. It was way past time to update the entire look with the purchase of a new cocktail table. And this beautiful table did not disappoint. Its bright marble top and muted gold metal gave a more open look than our former solid wood table, and the lower shelf created a great place for books that we wanted to display. It came within a couple of weeks, well packed, and in one piece.
