If you're not happy, we're not happy. That's where our "Love It or Send It Back" policy comes in. If you're dissatisfied with your Ballard purchase for any reason, you can return it within 90 days of the ship date for an exchange or full refund* (excluding Shipping & Processing fees).

You are invited to try items within our Best of Ballard collection risk-free for 30 days. If you're not satisfied, we will refund the purchase price AND shipping costs. Best of Ballard items are exempt from additional discounts and free shipping offers.

If you don't absolutely love your new slipcovered seating or upholstered seating for any reason, return it within 10 days of delivery absolutely free – we'll even pay the return shipping. It's that simple. We guarantee it. Now doesn't that make you happy?

Please carefully inspect your order upon delivery. If you receive damaged or defective merchandise, you may contact our Customer Service department at 1-800-536-7551 and a representative will be glad to arrange a return or exchange for you.

Please note: Any items that are monogrammed, customized, Customer's Own Material (COM), or made-to-order cannot be modified, cancelled, returned or exchanged unless damaged or defective. Defective items will be exchanged unless no longer available, in which case a Merchandise Certificate will be issued. Once a returned item is received in our warehouse, the return or exchange will be processed immediately. For credit card orders, you can expect to see your refund credit within 72 hours. For check and money orders, you can expect to receive your refund check within 7-10 business days.

Orders equal to and under $200 will be charged 15% of the total order value.

Orders over $200 will be charged 10% of the total order value with a cap at $350.

All shipping charges are based on the original retail price of the product prior to any discounts being applied.

Expedited Shipping

Delivery Time

We offer Two Business Day or Next Business Day Expedited Shipping on many items. Expedited orders received by 4 pm ET Monday–Friday are shipped the same day.

Expedited order cut-offs may vary during weeks surrounding a federally recognized holiday.

Rates start at $25 for Two Business Day and $35 for Next Business Day and increase based on the size of your order. The amount will be calculated at check out or call us for a quote.

  • On many larger items, like furniture, you have the option to upgrade the delivery experience to In-Home Truck Delivery.
  • Some items only ship via In-Home Truck Delivery.
  • With our In-Home Truck Delivery service, the item will be brought inside in your home, unpacked, placed in its final destination, and packaging materials removed.
  • Assembly is not included.

What To Expect For Truck Deliveries

  1. After your items have shipped, you will be contacted by our delivery partner to schedule a day and 4 hour window for your delivery.
  2. When scheduling, share any restrictions or special circumstances that could impact your delivery including, but is not limited to:
    • Narrow roads
    • Restricted delivery times
    • Gated entrances
    • Proof of insurance requirements
    • Multiple flights of stairs
    • Service elevator restrictions
  3. Ensure that all items will fit through access points such as doorways, stairways, hallways, elevators, and around corners into the desired location.
  4. On the day of delivery, our delivery partner will call you approximately 30 minutes prior to arriving at your home.
  5. Please prepare for your delivery by ensuring clear pathways and removing any fragile items that could be damaged during the delivery. Our delivery provider is unable to move any existing furniture.
  6. Our delivery experience is contactless and your signature is not required. If you observe an imperfection, notify the delivery team and either refuse the item or contact us at 888-263-9850 for a resolution.

They are more gray than I anticipated, although there are many photos of them and that seems to vary depending on the setting they are in. They do look good in my kitchen and are very comfortable. The stools arrived quickly and were packaged well. I love them!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from disappointed I purchased two of the Makena countertop height stools. We ordered early due to availablity issues while our townhome was being built. We have now been in for six months and one of the stools is falling apart. In finding someone to repair it we discovered that this stool had been "repaired" previously. There were several cracks that had obviously been caulked and/ or glued. For the price of this product this is unacceptable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Color Online is NOT Accurate Representation I ordered four of these in the graywash" which appears to be a light whitewash in all of the marketing photos. What I received was a dark taupe color that pulls green (the linen for the seat cover also pulls green). I paid $200 in shipping for these and waited 2 months. Very disappointed in the entire experience. While the stools are beautiful and well made, do NOT order these if you are hoping for the whitewash color that they appear to be because they are NOTHING like that hue. This was a time-consuming and costly experience and now I'm starting all over on my search for bar stools.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Color Misrepresented - Very Disappointed Today, May 13 '22, received two Makena Graywash Rattan Counter Stools. Yes, they appear to be well-made and sturdy. However, the color was way off from what I expected, i.e., a soft white with gray tones. Instead, what I received were stools which have a gray-green tone and a linen seat which definitely has a greenish tint. Don't know what to do. Keep? Send back? Very disappointed - especially considering price and $200 shipping charges. Wanted to include a picture but my iPhone 8 makes the stools appear the same light color as at Ballard's website !!! Go figure. Based on what I have seen of quality/workmanship so far, the stools are OK. But, "Buyer Beware" when making your decision based on color.

I bought these because I thought they were a light color as shown in the pic. When I opened the box I thought I ordered the wrong color as they were gray. In retrospect I wish that I had returned them because of how expense they are and the drastic color misrepresentation.
