I was nervous about buying a rug without seeing it in person, but the swatch from Ballard enabled me to see the color range in the rug. The rug is elegant and well-made, and I have seen no evidence yet of the kind of shedding that is sometimes common with new rugs. The print (I love the pattern) and the colors are distinct, but they are subtle and neutral enough to allow the rug to function beautifully in rooms with other fabrics and textures. The interior of the rug leans more towards taupe or sand (instead of beige). The band running around the outside of the rug is grey. The overall impression, with the rug on the floor, is predominantly grey -- but it works beautifully with beige colors and fabrics if you happen to have those in your room. I am simply delighted with this rug, and I am glad I took the leap and bought it without seeing it in person. The packaging was excellent, and the delivery was smooth and as described in the communications from Ballard.

The on trend colors breathe new life into a traditional rug design. Looks great as a runner with neutral walls. Spills easily wipe up and pattern hides those that do not. For the price and neutral grey you cannot go wrong.

I was on the fence about purchasing it because one of the colors listed was steel blue, and I was really just interested in something with grays & neutrals. I think it can go either way; if you want to draw out the blue you can, but it also works great as a neutral. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it's not holding up as well as I would've liked against my cat; her claws have already pulled out threads I've had to cut. I just hope it won't be an ongoing issue cause I'd like to keep this rug forever.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Ray4 from Hand Tufted? Bought 9x12 in February 2023 and had delivered March or early April. Beautiful color. Live by myself, no family, no children, no traffic on the rug as also ordered chairs and STILL waiting for those to be delivered MID JUNE NOW. Have 60" table round sitting centered so nothing on rug. Use a floor type vaccumn , no Rhoomba, not a beater, but a small canister with a floor brush not beater or rotating brush... the rug is coming apart. Littel random loops are popping up all over. I dare not clip as might cause a run. so I stick back down in the pile. The rug sheds fiber when it is vaccumned. I think I may have to super glue the loops into the rug. BE CAREFUL this was a very EXPENSIVE RUG!!! It hasn't lasted but three months and all it is doing is sitting there!!!!!! I have contacted Ballard's all they want to do is refund delivery. I ordered LARGE order that has taken eight deliveres since February and STILL NOT COMPLETED.
