You are invited to try items within our Best of Ballard collection risk-free for 30 days. If you're not satisfied, we will refund the purchase price AND shipping costs. Best of Ballard items are exempt from additional discounts and free shipping offers.

Please note: Any items that are monogrammed, customized, Customer's Own Material (COM), or made-to-order cannot be modified, cancelled, returned or exchanged unless damaged or defective. Defective items will be exchanged unless no longer available, in which case a Merchandise Certificate will be issued. Once a returned item is received in our warehouse, the return or exchange will be processed immediately. For credit card orders, you can expect to see your refund credit within 72 hours. For check and money orders, you can expect to receive your refund check within 7-10 business days.

Orders equal to and under $200 will be charged 15% of the total order value.

Orders over $200 will be charged 10% of the total order value with a cap at $350.

All shipping charges are based on the original retail price of the product prior to any discounts being applied.

Expedited Shipping

We offer Two Business Day or Next Business Day Expedited Shipping on many items. Expedited orders received by 4 pm ET Monday–Friday are shipped the same day.

Expedited order cut-offs may vary during weeks surrounding a federally recognized holiday.

Rates start at $25 for Two Business Day and $35 for Next Business Day and increase based on the size of your order. The amount will be calculated at check out or call us for a quote.

  • On many larger items, like furniture, you have the option to upgrade the delivery experience to In-Home Truck Delivery.
  • Some items only ship via In-Home Truck Delivery.
  • With our In-Home Truck Delivery service, the item will be brought inside in your home, unpacked, placed in its final destination, and packaging materials removed.
  • Assembly is not included.

What To Expect For Truck Deliveries


  1. After your items have shipped, you will be contacted by our delivery partner to schedule a day and 4 hour window for your delivery.
  2. When scheduling, share any restrictions or special circumstances that could impact your delivery including, but is not limited to:
    • Narrow roads
    • Restricted delivery times
    • Gated entrances
    • Proof of insurance requirements
    • Multiple flights of stairs
    • Service elevator restrictions
  3. Ensure that all items will fit through access points such as doorways, stairways, hallways, elevators, and around corners into the desired location.
  4. On the day of delivery, our delivery partner will call you approximately 30 minutes prior to arriving at your home.
  5. Please prepare for your delivery by ensuring clear pathways and removing any fragile items that could be damaged during the delivery. Our delivery provider is unable to move any existing furniture.
  6. Our delivery experience is contactless and your signature is not required. If you observe an imperfection, notify the delivery team and either refuse the item or contact us at 888-263-9850 for a resolution.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from VERY DISAPPOINTED I have to say that I am very disappointed in my purchase. We moved to a smaller house and I needed a new desk and storage for office area. I had a desk from Pottery Barn for 10 years, but it was too large. I went into Oakbrook store and was helped by the manager. She was great!!! I ordered September 2021 and received some items in November and rest in March 2022. That was not a problem for me because I understand the issues right now. I am wondering though if they had to get a new supplier. The items look cheap. We bought more than $8000 in Hutton Home Office furniture. The difference between Ballard and Pottery Barn are EXTREME. We had to install doors, knobs, and shelves, not so with PB. When I put a knob on, a chip came off because the hole was not drilled all the way through. I'll paint it. Not worth the time to send back. The doors are a bit cockeyed, nothing extreme, but again...$8000. Things don't QUITE fit together as well as PB. There were two missing pieces to put the desk together and it took me more than a month to get the parts. I got one within a week but they sent the wrong part, even though they emailed me the parts list and I told them the part # from that list. Then they said it was my fault. Finally they just sent me the entire pkg of parts for the desk. The PB desk was still in GREAT shape, just a bit stained on desktop from use. I don't think BD desk will last 10 years. In my opinion, what I paid over $8000 for seems more like IKEA quality. I am allowing for the possibility that they had to scramble to find a new supplier but they should have refunded me money for being less quality.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice-looking but flawed Flaws impact proper desk assembly/draw closure. Predrilled holes were misaligned, resulting in gaps between desk back panel and cabinet & top drawer rolls open on it's own due to misaligned rails. Overall, its a good solid piece that fits perfectly in my space, but expectation for this price is better quality control.
