Once a returned item is received in our warehouse, the return or exchange will be processed immediately. For credit card orders, you can expect to see your refund credit within 72 hours. We offer Two Business Day or Next Business Day Expedited Shipping on many items. Expedited orders received by 4 pm ET Monday–Friday are shipped the same day.

What To Expect For Truck Deliveries

  1. After your items have shipped, you will be contacted by our delivery partner to schedule a day and 4 hour window for your delivery.
  2. When scheduling, share any restrictions or special circumstances that could impact your delivery including, but is not limited to:
    • Narrow roads
    • Restricted delivery times
    • Gated entrances
    • Proof of insurance requirements
    • Multiple flights of stairs
    • Service elevator restrictions
  3. Ensure that all items will fit through access points such as doorways, stairways, hallways, elevators, and around corners into the desired location.
  4. On the day of delivery, our delivery partner will call you approximately 30 minutes prior to arriving at your home.
  5. Please prepare for your delivery by ensuring clear pathways and removing any fragile items that could be damaged during the delivery. Our delivery provider is unable to move any existing furniture.
  6. Our delivery experience is contactless and your signature is not required. If you observe an imperfection, notify the delivery team and either refuse the item or contact us at 888-263-9850 for a resolution.

Update: A few days after the base drawer cabinets arrived, I received a delivery of the 17 inch worksurface tops and I did NOT purchase those separately. So maybe they do come with the worksurface top? I also ordered 2 of the 63 inch worksurfaces because I intend to use them as a desk. I still think its 4 stars overall because I can't tell if they come with the worksurface top or not. Maybe mine came with the worksurface top because they were on clearance but the full price ones do not? I'm not sure to be honest. I think it would be great if Ballard Designs could clarify.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great design, great features, doesn't come w/ top I love the way this cabinet/drawers look. And I especially LOVE that the antique mirror panels reverse to white! Although, when I flipped the reversible drawer front panels to all white, I noticed that some of the paint had tiny, raised, black specs, so the paint job on the reversible panels could be better. The specs aren't that noticeable, so I don't think I will need to return. The drawers are full extension and run smoothly. The hardware is a bit more "industrial" than I really want, but I think it would do well with many design styles, including my transitional interior design. I would have preferred brass knobs/pulls. it supposedly made from real wood (mahogany) and veneers, but it seems to have a lot of veneers and the wood is not a dense/heavy as other, high-end, well-made all wood pieces. I don't think this is a problem though, since I think the price-point is very fair for the quality. The cabinet comes VERY well packaged and there was no damage during transportation. There will be a lot of packing materials to dispose of afterwards though. I purchased 4 of the 3 drawer cabinets and the bottom one is a file cabinet. The drawers are not soft close, but again, they run smoothly. One thing not clearly mentioned in the description is that the cabinet does NOT include a worksurface top (see picture). It does say that in the Hutton design guide, but not on the item description. This wasn't a problem for me since I needed a 63 inch worksurface anyway to create a "hide-away" desk. I also ordered 2 singe hutch and 1 double hutch to put on top, but the hutches won't be delivered for another week or so. Overall, I give this item 4 stars! I deducted 1 star for some flaws in the reversible drawer front paint job, lack of soft-closing drawer guides, the "industrial" hardware (doesn't seem to fully match the overall style of the collection), and the lack of a clear description that states it does not come with a top. The pros FAR outweigh the cons in my opinion and I would purchase again. I also got them for an additional 20% off their clearance price and feel like I got a GREAT deal!
