Beautiful and well made!I am very happy with this piece! Well made and gorgeous! I am using it as a bar cabinet for a larger wall and very happy with the choice. Make sure you have a friend help you to lift the piece onto the bottom since that is the most challenging part.

Could Not Be More PerfectSo glad I "found" the Harper sideboard. Recently completed a kitchen renovation which expanded (don't all house projects?) to the laundry room, great room and foyer. Moved huntboard, previously in foyer, elsewhere so the Harper sideboard reigns supreme in the foyer. Well made, very heavy, quality hardware, and complements the wall color and foyer tile. I also like that it sets upon the brass-looking base--that makes it less heavy-looking.
One minimal comment: Upon unpacking and setup, did discover a couple of small chinks in the finish. The packing, however, was quite impressive.

Well built and chicWe purchased the Harper Sideboard to house dishware in a safe place, away from dust. It came extremely well packaged and undamaged as a result. It did take awhile to unpack all the wrapping. This piece arrives in 2 boxes (the metal base in one and the wood piece in the other) and assembly is simple. You only need to attach the base to the top part. The hardest part was the weight of the piece, so this is an assembly you will need a partner for. We needed to adjust the doors a little so the gold detailing lined up correctly. Overall, we are very happy with the piece. It’s beautiful, a gray with green undertones, sturdy, well-made, and has plenty of storage shelving and drawers. We also appreciated the height (over 3’) as we have a curious toddler who cannot reach the breakable items on top. I would definitely recommend this piece. (Photos show piece both in daylight and at night. Wall color is Benjamin Moore Pale Oak to compare color of the piece to)

Harper Sideboard Doubles as an Office CredenzaI bought this sideboard to use as a credenza behind my desk in my home office. I love the transitional style. The pull out trays in the middle work perfectly for storing my photography equipment. Great quality too. It arrived in two separate boxes, the metal bottom frame and the top part. It was very easy to put the two pieces together. The delivery team was very helpful and kind.

Beautiful sideboard with great storage spaceVery beautiful sideboard with tons of storage space. However, the quality of the gold trim paint could be greatly improved. And there is still an extremely strong odor of paint and varnish when you open the doors, even though I let it stand for several days with the doors open, and wiped it down several times. The assembly is very easy, but be sure you have at least two strong people to flip it over and move it into place. I used slider pads under the four corners, and it was easy to move across our hardwood floor.

Heavy!Good, solid piece of furniture. Easily updates the look of the room. However, it is very heavy! I will not buy it again if white glove delivery is not an option. Taking it out of the box without hurting your back, moving, turning are quite challenging. Beautiful but heavy!

Nice but not flawlessThe piece looks nice. It is sturdy and has great space. As mentioned in other reviews, the alignment is slightly off. I jiggled with the doors a bit to try to line It up perfectly but it just isn't 'perfect' it seems like this is something they could fix.

Not Ballard usual high qualityI love the looks of this sideboard - it’s very chic. But the first one came with the doors not lining up properly, so I called Ballard to have it replaced. Ballard’s customer service is great - no issues there. The second sideboard they brought me had the same issue. The problem is with the gilt trim, if the doors do not line up properly, the gilt also won’t line up properly. I didn’t bother returning the second sideboard. Hoping my husband and I can adjust the doors to make it look correct.

Lovely, but priced a bit high for the workmanship.It is a beautiful sideboard. The hinges needed to be tightened as one of the doors nearly came off upon arrival. Although it is lovely, and the dimensions are ideal for it's placement in my home, I am disappointed in the quality of the piece, considering the price. I am hoping it will hold up well for a number of years.

Gorgeous but Minor FlawsI absolutely loved this piece, until recently when a guest noticed the defects in the sideboard. I may have received just an "off" piece, but the golden backdrops to the tassels are not stationery and were crooked. Despite fixing them constantly, I keep finding them moved. Additionally, the doors do not appear to be aligned, and it is uneven across the top when the doors are shut. Be sure you pay close attention to the piece before committing to it!

Not Gray and Gold Trim is cheapI just got this today and put it together (very easily). The gold trim is very cheap and for $2500 I do not think it is worth it. Also, it is NOT gray. It is more green. Unfortunately it does not go in my room.
