Rated 3 out of 5 by Beach Girl Lucy from Beautiful Wallpaper First of all, this is BEAUTIFUL wallpaper. I purchased the ivory and it has lovely shades of ivory and white and sprinkles of gray. It look gorgeous with my blue cabinets and gold fixtures. BUT a few things I wish I had known before I purchased. 1) While technically a textured wallpaper, it is string cloth and not just an imprinted texture. You'll need plenty of experience to hang this and not a good choice for a beginner. This string detail is a little vague in the description and specifications. 2) It has a repeat which means each panel will line up and match at the seams. For me this is a desirable feature but the repeat is very difficult to find amd takes extra care matching seams 3) This wallpaper is NOT washable. At all. If you try to wash the paper, the strings will rub off and there's nothing you can do except cut off the strings with a razor blade. 4) Two out of the three rolls I purchased were defective. There were smudges like greasy hand and fingerprints located through the roll. There were also random blue lines. Another roll had been cut incorrectly and the pattern didn't go all the way to the edge. I had to hand trim those edges which of course left an awkward seam (I was able to hide behind mirrors, toilet etc. but that required so much more time) I've hung wallpaper for my own personal use for many years, and I've never encountered defective wallpaper. Ballard sent me more and one roll was obviously defective without even removing the wrapping. If you purchase this paper, I recommend purchasing at least double or triple the amount needed and examine each roll carefully before first cut. Also consider location since it is not washable and consider professional installation.
