I could not be happier -- it's different and adds a great style element to our family room. The base is substantial (not knocked over easily) and the lamp itself makes a statement. It's everything I had hoped it would be. Never disappointed with Ballard quality.

It probably depends on the decor and paint colors of your room. They are substantial and add a nice touch to my living room.
