BeautifulI have many of them now and I painted them all white but one black one. I planted all white New Guinea Impatiens in them with a few pink Super Elfin Impatiens. I have a solar light in each urn and at night people stop to see the beautiful glow it produces all over the ground showing the white. It is beautiful and I get many compliments..

Well Done and Stylish PlantersI searched for months locally and online before purchasing two of these for our St Francis of Assisi Church north entry. Ballard has always given me quality items and this was no exception. I bought the large size in terra cotta and they are light weight enough for mobility, well made and appropriate style. I will bring them in for the winter, but that is necessary for most pots that might crack or discolor in harsh weather. Many compliments from parishioners!

In love with this Urn!I bought two of the large concrete urns and the pedestals. They shipped quickly and were packaged very securely. The pair looks very elegant near my front door and creates the Wow factor. The color does have more of a yellowish look. For the price, it is a wonderful product and I am more than pleased. I will be buying the smaller urns to go in my garden.

Beautiful Grecian Urns!Ordered the Medium size originally, (having not done my measurements) and they were far too large for my needs, returned them for the small and they are PERFECT! Placed my Boxwood Topiary's surrounded by some river rocks to stabilize, fill the empty space and camouflage the pot. These urns are perfect for what I needed, I had been looking everywhere and they are the best quality I have seen for the cost as well. Very nice, highly recommend.

PerfectBad luck on the finish with the other user. I ordered the light colored. The finish is distressed by design, just like a concrete urn and Just Beautiful... Very easy to use as they are light weight. Upon deciding placement, a plant with dirt keeps them in place. I live in Scottsdale in Arizona... Durable and resistant to weathering by the sun is a necessity... This Urn is perfect.. Detail on these urns is superior to my concrete urns and if I want to move them to another spot one day I can. A big plus for me... This is a quality urn/planter.

LovelyThese urns (and pedestals) look wonderful at our front entry! There is a small amount of finish that has peeled off one base, but it’s not very noticeable as of now. We’ve only used them a total of 3 months so far, which is why I’m giving them 4 stars. We used the urns without pedestals to display small Christmas trees last year, and now with pedestals for summer flowers. Love them!

good productWell made, good design, also bought pedestal for two large low urns. Their color was a bit too yellowish orange (like shale) to match my existing urns (ivory or antique white). If you want a bright shale color, they are great. Also, check to make certain you want a really large pot. Their massive scale was too big for our deck so we had to put them in the yard.

Beautiful UrnsI purchased 3of these to put buy my garage doors. They are beautiful. Instead of planting I purchased 3 hanging baskets, removed the hangers and set them in the urns-easy & gorgeous. As much as I love these urns price/shipping is a little high.

beautiful -- but pls inform buyer re drainage hole issue on site, and pls advise me re winter?As I was unpacking these lovely urns, and preparing to transfer 2 pre-potted pots into them, a landscaper arrived to replace a boxwood that had died of a beetle disease. I innocently asked if I could pay him a few extra dollars to take care of that for me, as I was late for an appointment. Weeks later, I realized that my plants were not thriving, and remained perplexed that when I watered, it seemed these plants were not draining-- even tho I would look and feel beneath and could plainly see there was a hole in the bottom!
Well, as my plants continued to wither, and never seemed to dry out, upon touch, fully, even a or two day after watering even in hot summer, I decided to poke a long metal grilling skewer up into the hole in the pot, from the bottom, only to find that the hole in the neck of the urn does NOT go all the way up to the plants I had planted inside! Luckily with lots of poking, I was able to poke through from underneath, even with the plants and soil inside still, and create a drainage hole. Something like a gallon of funky water came flying out.
I think it is truly worth Ballard's while to state that these planters do not have drainage holes. Altho you might add (I will say for sake of any readers who don't want to drill), happily it is also easy enough to poke through -- you could poke holes with a screwdriver; no drill needed. This is an important detail as I am feeling star-crossed on plantings this year.
I was planning on placing mini doug firs in the pots in winter (as I had with the cast iron pots I have just thrown away because the rusting was such a problem that they stained our blue stone patio!) Can the manufacturer or Ballard pls comment here on whether you would discourage that? Is it good for year-round use in cold and possible snow? Sounds like we should not try, given the other reviews?

Cracked !!For the price that I paid for this item it should not be in that kind of condition. It hasn't even been outside for more than a month and the top rim of this urn is already cracked by about 5 inches.
For the money I would never buy this item again. :(
