Rated 3 out of 5 by Parisienne from Nice but needs remote! I purchased 9 of these LED pillar candles on 12/10/23 to use for Christmas lights in some of my home's windows. Based on website descriptions ("realistic flicker") and reviews, I thought they would have a candle-like flicker, but instead they had a pulsing bright to dim sequence that we found to be unattractive and visually annoying. The labels on the candles stated that a remote is available to control the light but since it wasn't listed on Ballard's website I called and spoke to a helpful service rep who found that Ballard doesn't offer the remote. After some searching the rep gave me the vendor's contact info. After multiple phone calls I finally located a different remote for LED candles that turns off the pulsing ("flicker") and provides a steady light, which has a nice glow. I hope Ballard will post a video of how the "flickering" looks and also start offering the remote which works with these candles so buyers have a way to switch it to steady light. I would not have bought these candles if I had known they have a pulsing light cannot be modified without a special remote. I am keeping them now that I can change the light to steady.
