When fully extended, they were somewhat room darkening which I liked. I depended on the drapery hidden tabs instead of hardware and needed to add drapery rods since it was challenging to open/close easily due to the being the full 108" length. If opening the 108" drapes often, you may want to consider hardware drapery rings to avoid the challenging closures, but it may impact having to hem the drapes. CONS: The only bummer was that I ordered about 14 various panels at once and there was no avoiding the steep shipping fee of around $200. I went directly to a store thinking I could avoid it but that was not possible. As a result, you may want to wait for a sale plus free shipping. CONCLUSION: I have no regrets and love all of the panels I ordered. I would suggest you buy a few different panels at once before final purchase. Then return the ones you don't like because one other panel looked very thready when extended. I did that and they made the return very easy.
