We want you to be happy. If for any reason you are dissatisfied with your purchase, simply return it within 90 days of the ship date for an exchange or refund (excluding Shipping & Processing fees). All products are guaranteed from defects for a full year.

Please carefully inspect your order upon delivery. If you receive damaged or defective merchandise, you may contact our Customer Service department at 1-800-536-7551 and a representative will be glad to arrange a return or exchange for you.

Please note: Any items that are monogrammed, customized, Customer's Own Material (COM), or made-to-order cannot be modified, cancelled, returned or exchanged unless damaged or defective. Defective items will be exchanged unless no longer available, in which case a Merchandise Certificate will be issued. Once a returned item is received in our warehouse, the return or exchange will be processed immediately. For credit card orders, you can expect to see your refund credit within 72 hours. For check and money orders, you can expect to receive your refund check within 7-10 business days.

Orders equal to and under $200 will be charged 15% of the total order value.

Orders over $200 will be charged 10% of the total order value with a cap at $350.

We offer Two Business Day or Next Business Day Expedited Shipping on many items. Expedited orders received by 4 pm ET Monday–Friday are shipped the same day.

Expedited order cut-offs may vary during weeks surrounding a federally recognized holiday.

Rates start at $25 for Two Business Day and $35 for Next Business Day and increase based on the size of your order. The amount will be calculated at check out or call us for a quote.

What To Expect For Truck Deliveries


  1. After your items have shipped, you will be contacted by our delivery partner to schedule a day and 4 hour window for your delivery.
  2. When scheduling, share any restrictions or special circumstances that could impact your delivery including, but is not limited to:
    • Narrow roads
    • Restricted delivery times
    • Gated entrances
    • Proof of insurance requirements
    • Multiple flights of stairs
    • Service elevator restrictions
  3. Ensure that all items will fit through access points such as doorways, stairways, hallways, elevators, and around corners into the desired location.
  4. On the day of delivery, our delivery partner will call you approximately 30 minutes prior to arriving at your home.
  5. Please prepare for your delivery by ensuring clear pathways and removing any fragile items that could be damaged during the delivery. Our delivery provider is unable to move any existing furniture.
  6. Our delivery experience is contactless and your signature is not required. If you observe an imperfection, notify the delivery team and either refuse the item or contact us at 888-263-9850 for a resolution.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not as expected. Seat cushion is much too firm and is uncomfortable. Cushion was not sewn to fully fill the seating area (it's sewn on a slant, leaving a gap between the seat cushion and back cushion of chair); the back cushion sits in a "crack" and needs to be constantly pulled up and forward to be comfortable. There is no comfortable back support because of this. Also, fabric color "Drift" is much lighter than expected and feels more coarse, not smooth. Was told color would be as what is pictured in catalog; should have ordered "Bark" to get what I needed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed I was so looking forward to my new chairs but disappointed when they FINALLY arrived. The color (Butter) was much, much lighter than pictured ~ almost white. I had to make an additional purchase of slip covers to protect them. The slip covers come in "one size fits all" and are not condusive to this style of chair. The cushion on one of the chairs collapses when you sit and does not bounce back. For the amount I paid, I was truly disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Staples coming out of back of chair I bought two of these chairs and they were just delivered yesterday. On the back of one side of each chair, the fabric is already pulling away from the back and the staples are visible. We waited three months for these to be made in a custom fabric, so I'm not inclined to wait to re-order them. Very disappointed. We've ordered Baldwin sofas, headboards, tons of art and accessories, all with very good experiences. I hope this isn't an indication of quality going downhill at Ballard.

Notified Ballard where I purchased it by phone and text. Still have not heard from anyone. Love the way the chair looks and is as comfortable as I remember it being. Wish customer service was as good. Expected quality of workmanship to be to be superior

I chose to buy this chair not only because it was attractive but also because it was the only one that I could find that had a 21 1/2 inch seat height. This is important to me because I despise sinking way down and then struggling to get up out of furniture. My chair arrived today. It looks lovely. But the seat height is 17 1/4 inches not 21 1/2. That is more than 4 inches difference. Now I have to buy risers for this debacle which will make it look ugly. I had planned to purchase two of the Brook recliners and was only waiting for this one chair to arrive to ensure that it met my qualifications. I'm sure glad I waited! Trust me I will never again trust what Ballard Designs says on their website with regard to specifications. If I could, I probably would let them come pick this Sucker up and go shopping elsewhere.
