Excellent quality and perfect sizeThis was my first experience ordering custom chairs online without the benefit of ever sitting in a sample chair! I was nervous to say the least. I ordered matching chairs in coco tweed and am so pleased with the products. The chairs are very comfortable and the perfect size. The cushions are firm but not uncomfortably firm-- perfect for chairs in the family room. I like the depth of the chairs as well--we are very average sized people and some chairs are just too big/deep. That being said even my very tall son in law likes the size/depth of the chairs. The quality of the workmanship was excellent and the actual fabric was a match to the sample. Great purchase!!

Perfect slightly smaller chairWe purchased 2 Eton Club chairs for our remodeled sunroom. We needed a slightly smaller chair, but didn't want to sacrifice comfort. I'm 6' and my wife is 5'3", and we're both comfortable for a fair amount of time.
Workmanship is top notch, and delivery was smooth.

Love my Eton Chairs!Just received my Eton chairs (ordered a pair). We are really happy with them. Super comfortable, the cushions very soft but not so you'd sink deep into them (which I find annoying!). The upholstery job is top notch, and I used to work in a custom fabric/upholstery shop. The Trilby basket weave fabric (I ordered in Natural) is beautiful and exactly what I was expecting. The chairs themselves are very sturdy and balanced, and seem very well made. They are not huge club chairs, but my 6' tall husband can sit all the way back without his knees jutting up, and I can easily curl up in them to read! But they are the perfect size for my living room -- they have a large presence, but don't take up a ton of space. Ballard said the chairs would take 8 weeks to arrive from the time I ordered, and they were spot on. Shipping was efficient, shippers handled them very gently, unpacked them, set them up and took the trash away. All in all, a great first experience ordering furniture from Ballard, and at a great price.

Very well made!I just received my chair and it's amazingly comfortable and so well made! The only thing I have bad to say about this chair is that it should be wider. It fits sort of like an airplane seat, no room to move in it. Otherwise the fabric, upholstery and finish is well done.

ComfortableI love my Eton Club Chairs. I ordered them in the beige zebra pattern which is a thicker material. They would probably be more comfortable in a softer material but they are very cushy and cozy.
I bought the Eton Sofas as well and the room looks contemporary yet sofisticated and inviting.
I would recommend this product.

OK Chair - Just OKPostives: Very pretty and seems to be a good quality chair. Definitely a great value for the money.
Negative: The chair is somewhat stiff and not very roomy or comfortable. My biggest complaint and the reason I'm only giving this three stars is that the fabric is about 2 shades lighter than the cooresponding fabric swatch. I spent months ordering different fabric swatches and painstakingly making my decision. I am really disappointed. It completely throws off the look I was trying to acheive.

Not as expected.Seat cushion is much too firm and is uncomfortable. Cushion was not sewn to fully fill the seating area (it's sewn on a slant, leaving a gap between the seat cushion and back cushion of chair); the back cushion sits in a "crack" and needs to be constantly pulled up and forward to be comfortable. There is no comfortable back support because of this. Also, fabric color "Drift" is much lighter than expected and feels more coarse, not smooth. Was told color would be as what is pictured in catalog; should have ordered "Bark" to get what I needed.

DisappointedI was so looking forward to my new chairs but disappointed when they FINALLY arrived. The color (Butter) was much, much lighter than pictured ~ almost white. I had to make an additional purchase of slip covers to protect them. The slip covers come in "one size fits all" and are not condusive to this style of chair.
The cushion on one of the chairs collapses when you sit and does not bounce back.
For the amount I paid, I was truly disappointed.

Seat height not as specified!I chose to buy this chair not only because it was attractive but also because it was the only one that I could find that had a 21 1/2 inch seat height. This is important to me because I despise sinking way down and then struggling to get up out of furniture. My chair arrived today. It looks lovely. But the seat height is 17 1/4 inches not 21 1/2. That is more than 4 inches difference. Now I have to buy risers for this debacle which will make it look ugly.
I had planned to purchase two of the Brook recliners and was only waiting for this one chair to arrive to ensure that it met my qualifications. I'm sure glad I waited! Trust me I will never again trust what Ballard Designs says on their website with regard to specifications. If I could, I probably would let them come pick this Sucker up and go shopping elsewhere.
