Just as picturedAfter the holiday decorations came down, my mantel seemed empty. We have a beautiful painting hung over the fireplace and I thought a pair of sconces might enhance it. The pair of Elise candle sconces I purchased, it turns out, are the perfect complement to our painting. The antique gold goes well with the frame and the smoked mirrors don’t detract. We enjoy the battery operated candles as well. Ballard’s packaging is, as always, on another level of excellence from other vendors. Thank BD!

Fills the void!This is a truly lovely candle sconce. Good size, but not overwhelming. With quiet, understated elegance it tastefully fills the one spot in my home that needed "a little extra". The flicker of the pillar candle I use reflects the light back beautifully and opens up the surrounding area. I could not be more pleased!

Perfect for the spaceI bought 2 of these sconces for my small dining room: One is hung on either ends. I put a small LED candle on each (with timer feature). When I arrive at home at night they are always lit and welcoming. Very pretty...can also use in the bedroom.

unexpected finishI bought a round mirror for above an antique dresser and these sconces look beautiful flanking it. They were easy to hang and are fairly lightweight. However, the finish is more gold and modern than I anticipated (reason for 4 instead of 5 stars), especially since the glass is "antiqued"; somehow I was expecting more like an old frame. Still, we're overall pleased with the purchase.

Just what I was looking forThese sconces are perfect flanked on either side of a corner bookshelf. I like the look of the antiqued mirrors and they reflect the light in our foyer beautifully. They are heavy and appear to be good quality. As usual, Ballard wrapped them nicely and they arrived shortly after the order had been placed. My only complaint is that they were a little pricey.
