There are two pieces to the long bar that need to be screwed together (no tool needed) and that does tend to loosen up. So regular tightening is needed. The marble top is nice and heavy and big enough to hold a couple of drinks. We purchased with a black drum shade and it's a nice look for our study/office. Cozy.
