Perfect Little Stools
Perfect little stools! I've had the 3-seat bench for over a decade, so I knew what to expect when ordering these. Sturdy, very well made, and just beautiful! They look like they were made for my kitchen peninsula.

Sturdy and attractive stools
These stools are just what I was looking for. I wanted something to put in front of the fireplace or to move around for extra seating. At first I thought I wanted poufs… but the more reviews I read told me they don’t hold up well and end up the equivalent of a bean bag chair. These stools are sturdy and attractive and easy to move around. They don’t have the same whimsical appeal that the poufs do, but in the long run, they were the way to go! Extremely happy with my purchase.

Wish I’d bought it sooner!
Lovely! Wonderfully constructed and versatile. I am using it in my master bathroom right now but I can see how it could easily be used in a spare bedroom as a nightstand or anywhere for extra seating. It is a solid piece of furniture.

Dorchester Short Stool: A Winner!
Very well made stool in just the right size and height I wanted. I am using this next to my bedside; I placed a box cushion on the stool, and placed a tray on top of the cushion, so I can now easily reach coffee, books and breakfast!

Beautiful stools
I purchased two of these stools to go at the end of two twin beds…Perfect! This particular bedroom is small, so I needed somewhere for guests to place their bags or to just have a seat as there isn't much space for a nice chair. I am very pleased!

Great corner stool

Pretty in the bath.
Very pretty and useful in my bathroom. A cushion is important as the seat is a bit scratchy and also has quite a straw smell at first, but it seems to have dissapaited.

sturdy and well designed

Different size
I bought a Dorchester Short Stool years ago and wanted another and planned to use them together. No Joy! The current model is 2" larger -18" square, the one I had at home is 16" square.
I purchased several Lemans stools over a period of several years and they were always consistent in size and color. Now not sure if I will return the new one, so

Dorchester Low Stool
I was disappointed when the two stools arrived to find that their dimensions were larger than those I had previously purchased from Ballard Designs. Not sure there is anything that can be done, but I am truly disappointed.

Different Tones and Grain...
We bought 2 Dorchester short stools to match an earlier one we bought a year ago. The wood grain is different and the wood tone is so much lighter. So disappointed but too tired to go through the return process.
