Nancy Franke

Nancy has loved painting and drawing since childhood, when she studied with prominent Pennsylvania watercolorist, Glenn Brougher. He encouraged her to work from life, outdoors or in, with a free and spontaneous approach. That light-filled aesthetic has carried over to Nancy’s current work in oil and acrylic. Influenced by such historic painters as Potthast, Sorolla and Bongart, Nancy continues to refine her approach, always seeking simplicity in composition, executed with confidence and skill.

A signature member of Oil Painters of America since 2010, Nancy exhibits her work in southeastern galleries and teaches painting in Atlanta and Provence.

"I paint subjects that I love, usually from life," Nancy says, "Always seeking to communicate my energy and joyful response with the language of paint."

Her landscapes, transcendent and transformative, offer the viewer a moment to pause, to breathe and reflect, lifting the viewers spirit while embracing the paintings beauty.

Rick Reinert

Rick Reinert

Rick Reinert's formal art education took place in the early 1970's at Western Kentucky University. His arts education continued to evolve over the years, and he exhibited large, expressionistic works in one-man shows throughout Germany and Canada. After his initial success, Reinert took time off to establish two small businesses and to raise his family. Through a series of circumstances related to his business, Reinert became a highly visable and vocal proponent of campaign finance reform, and was the subject of a number of articles including a cover story in Time Magazine in Feb. 2000. During this time, his commitment to painting was renewed, and he began creating art again. He painted through the night and slowly established the unique and passionate style that he is known for today. Painting seven days a week, 9 hours a day, Reinert continues to challenge himself as one of America's most prolific painters. This dedication and hard work has paid off, and his paintings have won accolades across the country.

Kiki Slaughter

For abstract artist Kiki Slaughter, her method is often her muse. Her paintings are best described as an experiment with the fundamental process of painting. She pours, scrapes, layers and otherwise manipulates paint on the canvas to create works that are rich in both color and texture. She is inspired to paint by the very act of painting. Kiki is also very inspired by her visual surroundings. Thus, her work often evokes the places she has lived and visited. She strives to interpret and record her impressions of the world around her through her use of color and texture. Although her works are entirely abstract, each piece maintains subtle characteristics from its source of inspiration. Kiki is from Charlottesville, VA and currently lives and works in Atlanta, GA.
