After your items have shipped, you will be contacted by our delivery partner to schedule a day and 4 hour window for your delivery.
When scheduling, share any restrictions or special circumstances that could impact your delivery including, but is not limited to:
Narrow roads

Gated entrances
Proof of insurance requirements
Multiple flights of stairs
Service elevator restrictions
Ensure that all items will fit through access points such as doorways, stairways, hallways, elevators, and around corners into the desired location.
On the day of delivery, our delivery partner will call you approximately 30 minutes prior to arriving at your home.

PerfectThese bookcases were exactly what I was looking for. They are very large. I bought three and they have really warmed up my home and made the room feel cozy. Plenty of room for displays as well as books. (My photo does not show all of the family portraits that I added.) Three cases are approx 11 ft long.

Beautiful bookcases, but door problems at firstI bought two of these bookcases, and am very pleased with them now. Assembly wasn't too difficult, for which I am grateful. Each bookcase has two sliding doors which roll on tiny wheels in a groove of the bottom of the bookcase. Two of the doors didn't roll correctly; they dragged and caught. At first, I thought the doors were defective, and was bracing for the hassle of trying to get replacements. But then I started fiddling around with the tiny wheels, which can actually be adjusted up or down. Eventually, by fiddling for a few hours with them, I was able to get the doors to roll correctly. They totally transformed my room, so I'm very happy with them now.

Cortona BookcaseI waited a long time to find the perfect bookcase and finally I found the Cortona bookcase. I wanted it for my den, but once I got it home I found that it was not suitable for the den. I now have it in my bedroom which turned out to be perfect. Didn't expect the unexpected, but it turned out to fit perfect. Thanks Ballard Outlet

Cortona BookcasesI love the looks of it in the catalogue and in my home....just a little disappointed with the fact that when all four pieces are put together side by side they are not all level on the top shelf.....once they are filled, the dynamic changes and I've had to prop the back of the piece against the wall with something to move it forward to make it somewhat level on the top. I called Ballard and they said they'd be sending me someone to help out with this issue. The bookcases do sit on carpeting and I have adjusted the screws at the front foot of each of the bookcases - but I think that there needs to be those adjusting screws in the back foot of the bookcases as well. We shall see how things go when Ballard's person comes out to adjust! Hopefully all will be well because I love the look, the sliding doors work beautifully and look nice too.

Bad BookcaseBookcase is beautiful but the doors do NOT slide easily and are very hard to move open to close. I would not recommend this bookcase as for anyone looking to use it daily. I have called twice to customer service but to no avail.

Lighten up the interior, and consider the shippersThe bookcases are ok. There is one hole for the shelves that is not pushed out, and of course it is the one I need. Also, It would make sense to paint the inside white, as everything looks dark. Shipping was VERY disappointing. One case arrived upside down with a huge hole in the box. Resulting in the back of the case having nail pops. These cases are expensive, I expected the delivery to be better.

Overall happy, but be prepared to assemble.The bookcase is well made and looks great in the space. I'm happy with purchase. I'm not happy w/ how the doors lay, seeing I had to self assemble there is a small misalignment on the right side door. I am not super mechanical and have tried w/ great frustration to align to no avail. I was surprised, given the price of the cabinet it did not come assembled.

Ok on its own, not good with multiple sectionsThe unit itself is nice, but as other buyers have noted, the pieces don't always match up in height. My corner section was 1/4-1/2" taller than the bookcase and I ended up putting it in a different room. (Ballard offered to take it back, or discount it - I didn't want to deal delivery and repacking so I took the discount.) As a stand alone piece it works just don't plan on putting multiple units together.
