These wonderful stools have it all...they are very well-made and sturdy, balanced perfectly and have very comfortable seats. My young grandchildren were able to climb up and back down from the stools (as I stood nearby, watching) with ease. No other stools that I've had have that solid balance. And one more thing, there are built-in floor protectors on the bottom of the legs. I love the black stain. I highly recommend.

The seats themselves are actually quite big, which my family really likes - my four year old can sit on them with his legs crossed without worry of falling.

After an exhaustive search and considering other counter stools that were waaay more expensive, we went with the Corey Counter Stool and absolutely love them. They are super comfortable (the rubber wood has a bit of give) even without cushions. They tuck neatly under our kitchen island, making for clean sight lines. We ordered the black stain, which is actually closer to a dark brown/black, lovely in our kitchen.
