I bought the Ceylon Whitewash side table and coffee table to go on my front porch with the Sunday Swing that I also purchased from Ballard Designs. It's a perfect match and makes a great conversation area. Both tables are very sturdy and were easy to put together.

Rated 4 out of 5 by anglophilev from beautiful and sturdy While we ordered this whole set (couch, end table, coffee table, dining table and 6 chairs) and would do so again, the work to put them together was astounding! The quality is very good and they are sturdy pieces, but the finish is a little rough and could cause splinters to little fingers. the packaging was a little obscene (everything wrapped, boxes in boxes, cushions in their own boxes etc). For the price it seems like some things could come assembled such as smaller tables and chairs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Destry from Beware of Ceylon side table The table is well-made and its style is attractive. However, there is a significant problem with the color. Although it's advertised as "Whitewash," the underlying color of the wood is a pink tone, which emerges clearly from beneath the overlaid whitewash. Consequently, it's pretty much impossible to purchase cushions that compliment the odd coloration of the wood. So I've been forced to find a suitable outdoor paint that I can use to hide the pink tone.

Unfortunately this table is just not worth its cost. Like the coffee table, it's rather cheap looking. The separations in the wooden top slate work, easily trap bugs and other outdoor debris. After only a year, we are replacing this table with a white glass top side table.
