Great Outdoor ChairsI purchased these chairs well over a year ago, and despite being directly exposed to the elements without a roof or any type of cover over them, they have continued to wear well and look great. They are a solid chair. I've had to replace the cushions due to exposure (as expected), but the chairs have been great.

Very good valueAfter a delay in shipment, the 2 chairs I ordered arrived carefully packaged with lots of Styrofoam and plastic wrapping to protect the wood and fabric. (Balllards emailed me a discount code for my next purchase as an apology for the delayed shipping.) The chairs were super easy to put together with the tools provided, even doing it by myself. The wooden frame is sturdy and the whitewash is close to how it is represented in the online photos. The seat dimensions are quite wide and deep so can accommodate larger adults. The standard cushions that come with the chair seem well made -- time will tell how well they hold up. I am planning to use these chairs inside, going with a provincial country theme, so am going to cover the cushions with another fabric on top of the existing standard white fabric. I think that is less expensive than buying the upgraded fabric cushions from Ballards online, and hopefully will extend the life of the cushions as well. I am quite pleased with this purchase. The chairs are an excellent value for the price.

Perfect size, height, and cottage look I was going for!Absolutely LOVE this chair. I'm using it in the den, rather than outdoors, as intended...LOVE the cottage look, love the wood (eucalyptus), love the size/height of chair. With a bold color accent pillow, it is exactly what I wanted. The back is pretty enough to show through window for all to see....overall TERRIFIC purchase for the money. : )

Lovely chairVery nice-looking chair that is easy to assemble.
I gave four stars instead of five for three reasons:
The wood buttons used to fill the holes where screws are fall out unless glued in. Directions say nothing about this.
In places, some of the finish is rough and needs light sanding.
The cushions, while comfortable enough, are not made of a Sunbrella-type fabric and seem a bit flimsy, given the overall quality (and price!!) of the chair.
Still, this is a very nice chair and I expect it to look good for years to come.

The chairs are beautiful, but very light in colorPay extra attention to "whitewash" being in the name of the product. I put these chairs on my front porch, and they're very nice. However, the wood is much lighter than what is pictured. I assumed they would look like the picture where the wood is a few shades darker than the sand cushions, but beware the cushions and chair are about the same light color.

Very pretty for the priceI just received my chair this weekend. It was easy to put together, and the design is very pretty. There are carved details on the chair's back (behind the back cushion) that really make this piece look high quality--as do the turned legs. The sizing is good - deep but not too bulky and cumbersome. It easily blends with our existing mix of patio furnishings.
The cushions are comfortable, but the cover fabric is a bit cheap feeling/looking. Color is true to the photo, but fabric texture is definitely outdoor (not indoor) grade. The wood, as one reviewer noted, is pretty rough. I wouldn't say it would give you splinters, but it's definitely roughly textured. The whitewash finish is absolutely gorgeous, though.
Overall, a very nice-looking, comfortable chair: high on the aesthetic side, even if a bit lower on some of the finer points. I would order it again.

Amazing look, poor cushion fabricThe chair and ottoman have already started to mildew after being on our covered and screened in porch for less than a month. This fabric is NOT suitable for outdoors, but not soft enough for indoors. I've already had to purchase sunbrella replacements

Comfortable ChairMy concern is that the color of the cushions was not that was stated on line or in the catolog. I had ordered several color samples and the cushions that came with these chairs were white and not sand as stated. I did not return the cushions as I wanted to go ahead and use the chairs and I did not want to go through the inconvience.
That being said, they are comfortable and look great. I still would have perferred the sand color. We have the chairs for appromximately 2 months and they appear well made. We are currently using them indoors in a sun room. I was unable to give a 4 or 5 star rating since the color did not match the sample and while one chair was easy to assemble ,the other chair was difficult to assemble.

The look of the chair is great. It stops there.The chair is nice to look at and the color is easy to work with BUT the cushions however are NOT as depicted in the picture, they are a yellowish color not white which doesn't look good with the white wash of the chair. The cushions have deep creases in them that as of a week have not relaxed. Jury out as to if I will send them back. Also each chair took forever to put together. I had to hire someone to do it and they even said it was difficult.

Absolutely awful qualityIf you want to have outdoor furniture that lasts beyond the one-year warranty, then DO NOT BUY THESE. After three years of being housed on a covered balcony - and underneath the Ballard-recommended covers for inclement weather and winter months - the cushions are covered in mildew and the wood is splintered and rotting. Sunbrella pillows purchased elsewhere have held up in the same conditions beautifully. Do not waste your time or money on this product.

Beautiful chairsVery difficult to put together. Holes too small for the screws. Took a lot of elbow grease and thinking outside the box. Screws are stripping and takes awhile for new hardware per customer service. They helped but another chair will have same problem. I would recommend a furniture maker or woodworker for assembly with their tools.
