More colorful than shownThe photos on the website do not do this rug justice. I saw it in the catalogue and it looks different, the blue is very a pretty muted blue. It's exactly what I wanted. I'm very happy that after ordering 5 other rugs from other sites I finally found this one. Great quality, I'm sure it will shed, but that's what happens with wool rugs. I'll add photos later, I find customer photos even more helpful than the website. Love love love!!!

Beautiful and Durable!I bought a 3x5 and a runner for my foyer, as well as a runner for another hall. The neutral colors are versatile and so attractive and stylish. They aren't the least bit worn and I'm sure we've had them at least 3 years in high trafficked areas. We just put in hardwood floors in the great room so I'm ordering the
10x14! I highly recommend these carpets.

Great ValueI've had this rug now for about 6 months and I love it. The colors go perfect with my paint colors and the rug has a thick luxurious feel. I did splurge and get a nice rug pad. As with any rug, I highly recommend getting the sample first.

Absolutely stunning rug!I read all the reviews before buying this rug. I have purchased many wool rugs in my lifetime and pretty much any cut pile wool rug will shed for some time. I knew that would be the case. This rug, however, is quite thick and the color is just stunning. It was perfect to lighten up the dark teal walls on the room I placed it in and the pale blue/green and grey colors on this cream rug looked great. It's been down a few weeks now and still sheds, but I'm still very pleased with my choice.

This rug makes my room!I was a little hesitant to purchase this rug, due to the "spa blue color" that I was afraid was too blue for my bedroom decor. Was very pleased with the swatch that arrived--accurate colors represented. Rug arrived in a timely fashion, was well wrapped, and I was very impressed that included was a brand new plastic sleeve to either return the rug or to store it. Thoughtful touch. Excellent service all around. And the rug is perfect in size and color. Lots of tans, grays, "spa blues" and a hint of sage that will work well with many color schemes.

Gorgeous RugI purchased the 9 x 13 for my living room. I had read many reviews and was hesitant about the colors of the rug, but I decided to go ahead with the order. The rug came in about a week, and as other reviews stated, the packaging said sage. When I rolled it out, it definitely showed more blue hues, so I think it greatly depends on the lighting of the room. It is so perfect, and I am so pleased. I would recommend this gorgeous rug to anyone.

Beautiful colorsI have purchased two of these rugs for two different houses. One is in Fl and a coastal decor. The second is in New England and a traditional decor. The colors in this rug work perfectly in both houses. The colors are soft and soothing. The rug does shed initially but vacuuming it helped. I love it. I put a good quality rug pad underneath it and it feels very plush.

Muted colors blend nicely.I ordered this rug based on the description of the colors. Our bedroom has gray, flax and off white linen upholstered pieces and a warm white wall with medium honey oak floors. The bed coverings are spa, white and gray solid fabrics. The soft color combination of the Catherine rug is perfect for the room. In fact, my decorator and her fiancé were at our home and offered to take down our bed and lay the rug. They absolutely loved the rug and told me they were considering purchasing one for themselves!

Perfect!I bought new furniture long distance for a second home out of state. I kept looking at rugs but could not be sure the colors in the pictures were accurate. This rug is so different from the picture on line. My furniture is a pallet of grey, spa and teal...
I was lucky to go the King of Prussia mall while visiting a friend. There it was! I knew the colors were perfect and I ordered it immediately.
It is soft and after one vacuuming there is no shedding at all... No odor, and it lays flat right out of the package. Love this rug!
I hope Ballard can do something to be sure the colors in their pictures are more accurate.

Even more beautiful than picturedThis rug is still rolled up because I want to paint before putting it down, but I visited a Ballard store and saw it "in person". It's absolutely beautiful - very soft colors. When I peeked at a corner of mine, I first thought it had a lot more sage green than I wanted, but it turns out that what I thought was sage is more of a taupe in the store. I just hope my lighting is similar to theirs.

Very glad I made this purchase.I really like the soft muted coloring of the Catherine rug. It adds to a room without overpowering the space. The pattern is classy and traditional. The rug cleans very well too, so there is not an issue in using this rug in high traffic areas.

Not as "blue" as thought from other reviewers, more green/blueI wanted to add my review as I relied heavily on the other reviews for this item before making my purchase. Based on other reviewers photos I thought this rug would be bluer than it actually was. I did order the swatch before committing to the rug and didn't see much blue in that either. In taking my own photo I can see why. It seems to skew more blue in photos. Don't get me wrong there are actually green/blue parts of this rug but it is not actually blue but more of a muted seafoam and teal color. Either way it works for me because I haven't bought pillows yet and I just wanted a cool toned rug with some warmth which is set off nicely by the flax/gold areas of this rug.
The quality is very good. My husband typically hates 100% wool rugs due to shedding but we took a vacuum over it as soon as it arrived and we were surprised how little it shed. Also, it's crazy soft.

Beautiful!This carpet is gorgeous! It has blues, greys, yellows, taupes, and is just stunning! I was VERY hesitant to buy it as the sample is so small and it is hard to tell if it is really going to go, but I risked it and am SO VERY GLAD I did. I LOVE it.

Beautiful Cool ColorsAs other reviewers have commented, this rug does not show in person at all like it does online. I found "real" photos of the rug via social media and ordered the rug sample, which I recommend, to bed sure the colors worked in my space. (The sample is free, just $5 for shipping.) When I unpacked the rug in my dining room, which has very yellow/warm lighting, the rug looked sage green and tan. But with the natural light in my living room, the colors appear much lighter and bluer/grayer, just like the photo I've included with this review. So know that your lighting will affect what colors that come through. This rug adds color but somehow stays neutral, too. I love it! Great for tying in taupes and grays with a little bit of greenish blue hues. I have not had an issue with shedding like other reviewers have mentioned. There is some shedding, but not an abnormal amount for a new rug.

A Classic!I have wanted to order this rug for a long time and finally got my chance when we needed a new runner for our entryway. It is beautiful and the colors are more vibrant than they appear in the catalog. Good quality, and it laid flat right out of the packaging. This rug is a bargain at the price!

Soft and BeautifulI just purchased this rug, size 10x14, for my master bedroom. I did not pay the extra fee to have it put into the room which was risky because of its size however it was easy enough to take up stairs and unroll it under my bed and furniture with the help of my DH.
The rug is wool so I imagine it may shed some as expected with all wool rugs. However, it is very soft and just the right thickness. The colors are true to the photo, neutral background (greige) designed with spa blue, soft greens and touches of gold and cream. All in all a great purchase and I had been searching for almost a year. This was affordable and just what we needed.

Couldn't be happier with this rug!I had to wait for awhile for this rug (ordered the largest size) but I am so happy I stayed with my choice instead of ordering something else more readily available. It was certainly worth the wait! All the remodeling is finished and the rug absolutely is the element that ties everything together. Quality is excellent; looks very rich. I was hesitant because others stated that it sheds, but I did not notice this in the least. Very soft, color and feel! I had ordered the smaller version for the entry, so I knew the colors were exactly what I wanted. We love it!
