Please carefully inspect your order upon delivery. If you receive damaged or defective merchandise, you may contact our Customer Service department at 1-800-536-7551 and a representative will be glad to arrange a return or exchange for you.

Please note: Any items that are monogrammed, customized, Customer's Own Material (COM), or made-to-order cannot be returned or exchanged unless damaged or defective. Defective items will be exchanged unless no longer available, in which case a Merchandise Certificate will be issued. Once a returned item is received in our warehouse, the return or exchange will be processed immediately. For credit card orders, you can expect to see your refund credit within 72 hours. For check and money orders, you can expect to receive your refund check within 7-10 business days.

Standard Shipping

Smaller items are shipped via standard ground service. In-stock items will generally arrive in 3-7 business days.

Some bulky or heavy items have an additional $10/item oversized handling fee.

How do you calculate standard shipping charges?

Orders under $200 will be charged 15% of the total order value. Orders $200.01+ will be charged 10% of the total order value with a cap at $350.

All shipping charges are based on the original retail price of the product prior to any discounts being applied.

*Orders placed in Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico & US Virgin Islands will have additional costs.

Expedited Shipping

For faster delivery and additional fee, we offer Next Business Day and Two Business Day express service. Express orders received by 4 pm EST are shipped the same day.

Sure. With Ship to Store delivery, you can purchase qualified items* online and have them sent to your closest retail store to pick-up. We’ll take care of the shipping costs. Click Here to find a store near you.

Truck Delivery

Larger items are delivered via a truck delivery partner and will generally be available for delivery 2-3 weeks after shipping.

Please note: We provide two options for Truck delivery service, Threshold and In-Home. See below for specifics.

All items delivered by Truck Delivery- Threshold will be charged an additional freight delivery fee of $40/item. You may upgrade your delivery experience to our In-Home Truck Delivery at your discretion for an additional $35 per item in addition to any other freight delivery fees. Threshold Truck Delivery

Items are unloaded by the driver and placed inside the first-floor doorway, garage, or covered area of your choice. If the home is a multi-dwelling building, the items will be delivered inside the residence. No assembly is included. Packaging removal is available by upgrading to “In-Home” Truck Delivery. Please note: All items delivered by Threshold Truck Delivery will be charged an additional freight delivery fee of $40/item.

Items designated for Truck Delivery may be upgraded to our In-Home Truck Delivery service at your discretion for an additional $35 per item in addition to any other freight delivery fees. See In-Home Truck Delivery below.

In-Home Truck Delivery Recommended

On many larger items, like furniture, you have the option to upgrade the delivery experience to In-Home Truck Delivery. Some items only ship via In-Home Truck Delivery. With our In-Home Truck Delivery service, the item will be brought inside in your home, unpacked, placed in its final destination, and packaging materials removed. Assembly is not included.

Truck Delivery Scheduling

After your items have shipped, you will be contacted by our delivery partner to schedule a day for your delivery.

When scheduling, share any restrictions or special circumstances. This includes, but is not limited to narrow roads, restricted delivery times, gated entrances, proof of insurance requirements, multiple flights of stairs, and service elevator restrictions. Ensure your items will fit through any access points such as doorways, stairways, hallways, elevators, and around corners.

What to expect for Delivery

The day before your delivery, you will receive a call with your four-hour delivery window. Our delivery partner will call you approximately 30 minutes prior to arriving at your home. Please prepare by clearing pathways and removing any fragile items that could be damaged during the delivery. Our delivery partner is unable to move any existing furniture.

Accepting your Delivery

If you observe an imperfection, note it when signing the delivery paperwork and either refuse the item or contact us for resolution by calling Customer Service at 1-800-367-2775 or the store where you made your purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's Perfect for my living room I was on the hunt for a rug that would look well coordinated in my newly painted living room but be able to hold up to our busy household with dogs and young kids. The living room was a blue gray color with black furniture - so I wanted a gray area rug that wouldn't compete with the walls. I started with Jute - but it was too rough on the feet, shag was too casual I wanted something that would be a classic. This rug is perfect -its very thick and soft but holds it's shape. With a busy house I feel like this rug will handle what we can throw at it while allowing me to still have designer looking elegant space. I've already ordered the smaller version for our front door.

They are absolutly perfect for our lifestyle-kids, pets, and lived in home but still want style. But this rug tops them all. I bought it for my front entry/mud room. when I unrolled it I could not believe how soft and plush it was for an indoor outdoor rug! I even hesitated to leave it in that room because it was so pretty and I could not stand the thought of it being ruined. This weekend we put it to the test: We had a about 25 people over for brunch to our county home in April... in MN. This means mud! I was a little worried about all the mud that got tracked in until I vacuumed it after it had dried. Good as new! This is why it gets my perfection rating. I would not hesitate to fill my home with these beautiful rugs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great plush rug for the porch I just set up this Catalina rug on my screened porch and love it. It is soft to the touch and thicker than a normal poly outdoor rug, feels like an indoor rug, which I would say you could also get for indoors and nobody would know the difference. I don't think I would put directly outside with no cover from the rain, I feel like it wouldn't dry easily since it is a thicker material. The grey is a great color that will go with a lot of things. It doesn't smell, which I feel like a lot of rugs typically do. The pattern is pretty too, shapes are on the bigger size, so not too busy looking. I wish they would put a coin or ruler in the close up images so you can see how small/big the pattern really is. I got the indoor/outdoor pad to go with it and together it all feels great underfoot.

We have 2 small dogs & just their walking around on the carpet makes large picks in it. Every evening I have to crawl around & clip off all of the 'loops'. I fear that one day there will be no carpet left! A great rug, maybe just not if you have pets. :/

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beautiful but not practical This is a lovely rug that, because it was sold as outdoor/indoor idea I bought to put by our kitchen nook door leading out to the patio and back lawn. Unfortunately, with two little dogs, Pacific Northwest rain that can turn a winter lawn into a bog, and needles from the towering Douglas fir trees, it didn't stay clean long. Spot cleaning was out of the question, the no-beater vacuum didn't work with clinging fir needles, and when I did wet it to try to clean it, it got all wrinkly and out of shape around the edges. I've had other indoor/outdoor rugs before, even on the decks and patios that worked great. Unfortunately this one didn't. It's a good and very pretty rug if you don't have any of our issues, which is why I added a second star.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not ideal for kids/pets This is our 2nd indoor/outdoor rug purchase from Ballard. We were very pleased with plushness and colors of this rug (navy/cream) initially. However, I failed to note in the specifications that it says no beater brush when vacuuming. With several young kids and dog, we weren't able to get the carpet clean without using the beater brush. After just a few months it looks fuzzy and seems to absorb stains easily. For the price, it has had poor durability for us. I was hoping for an easy care rug and this is not it.
