What To Expect For Truck Deliveries


  1. After your items have shipped, you will be contacted by our delivery partner to schedule a day and 4 hour window for your delivery.
  2. When scheduling, share any restrictions or special circumstances that could impact your delivery including, but is not limited to:
    • Narrow roads
    • Restricted delivery times
    • Gated entrances
    • Proof of insurance requirements
    • Multiple flights of stairs
    • Service elevator restrictions
  3. Ensure that all items will fit through access points such as doorways, stairways, hallways, elevators, and around corners into the desired location.
  4. On the day of delivery, our delivery partner will call you approximately 30 minutes prior to arriving at your home.
  5. Please prepare for your delivery by ensuring clear pathways and removing any fragile items that could be damaged during the delivery. Our delivery provider is unable to move any existing furniture.

Down sizing to a city apartment much smaller than the home we had lived in for 40 years I found myself needing a piece of furniture to fill a wall space with a high ceiling. I also needed someplace to store all sorts of odds and ends like bills, medical records, magazines, phone and address books, etc. This piece looks great in our living space and enables us to get all sorts of clutter out of the way. It has four large shelves where I can keep baskets with the fore mentioned things. The Louis the IV Armoire is a winner!

It was ordered August 2020, so I understand that the pandemic was the reason for the long wait. The right door does not fit snugly at the top, but I am sure that I am the only one who would notice. It locks very nicely. Abundant storage space for my clothes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Casa Florentina Armoire This is a beautiful piece of furniture. My only complaint is that the color isn't very close to the pictures, but is still lovely. Also, the doors do not shut very well. Overall, I would recommend it and think it is a wonderful addition to our home.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful, sturdy with lots storage space We are using this as a linen closet in our bathroom. Home was built in 1926 and we just remodeled the bathroom in a vintage style. The armoire style goes well in our house. It seems to be vey sturdy, and well made. The order and delivery process was easy and all went well. The only odd thing was that there was some debris/residue (?) on the armoire when it arrived. I know it is supposed to have an antiqued look but it almost looked as though it was sitting outside for a while. I was able to wipe off most debris, but left the remainder for fear I might ruin the finish. Other than that, this is a very good product!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not durable but attractive The armoire is not durable and is not built for everyday use; it's too delicate. We've only had the item for five months and the front door already has several nicks and scratches. We also don't have a lot of activity near the door, which shows how delicate it is. I would only recommend this product for use in areas of very low traffic without daily usage.

It was so carelessly made that there was a screw sticking through the cabinet door from the inside and poking out at eye level. For this price, really? I did not have another 6 months to wait for a replacement.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor I waited 5 months for this piece. The paint was white on the front and more cream on the sides. THe feet were missing and the top crown on the front had a dent which appeared to be filled in. The the delivery men were supportive and really professional. Now I need to wait until Jan to get a call to confirm a new armoire. UNACCEPTABLE. I am moving on to find another piece somewhere else. fyi I love ballard design and have a side board that is great.
