Although we had to wait 6 months for it to arrive we are very pleased with the quality and visual appeal. We have other items from Ballard Designs, we are impressed with the quality and plan to buy more items from them for our home.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ponce Inlet Cyndi from Mostly good! Ordered and had to wait 6 months to get it. One of the doors is warped and doesn't close correctly at the bottom. So reordered the whole piece (because they can't just send a new door :-( which would be way more cost efficient!) so now waiting on that and we will just switch out the door as we have all 3 pieces we bought connected and they aren't going anywhere!!!! Reorder will take up to 6 months (again!). My husband was a GC so he notices every detail and he had t make some adaptions to get the pieces to go together as evenly as possible. So much for being hand crafted! They look beautiful however!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous from Elegant except defective Beautiful except the crown moulding at the top do not attach correctly. There is a gap in front at upper both moulding. Waiting for repair person on items I ordered in October and it is almost June!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Mary05 from Pretty, but look closely Solid wood and pretty glass doors look nice in my living room. I purchased two bookcases but have them standing individually as two separate units. Zoom in to the pic provided and you can see that the top and bottom casings are removable. The rectangular bookcase is ONE piece, then there are FOUR casing pieces to attach to the four corners to complete the unit. The seams of these can be easily seen. The more that I fill the bookcases and decorate around them, the less my eye is drawn to this seam, but wanted to mention it because I was not expecting this. If you plan to place two or more together to create a larger unit, you will still have four pieces to attach to the entire unit, so it might be less noticeable. They are nice looking bookcases, are the size that I was looking for, and didn't find them anywhere else, so I am keeping them. Had I noticed this before, I probably wouldn't have purchased. Overall, sturdy piece and I like the distressing detail along with full glass doors.
