If you're not happy, we're not happy. That's where our "Love It or Send It Back" policy comes in. If you're dissatisfied with your Ballard purchase for any reason, you can return it within 90 days of the ship date for an exchange or full refund* (excluding Shipping & Processing fees).

You are invited to try items within our Best of Ballard collection risk-free for 30 days. If you're not satisfied, we will refund the purchase price AND shipping costs. Best of Ballard items are exempt from additional discounts and free shipping offers.

Once a returned item is received in our warehouse, the return or exchange will be processed immediately. For credit card orders, you can expect to see your refund credit within 72 hours. What To Expect For Truck Deliveries


  1. After your items have shipped, you will be contacted by our delivery partner to schedule a day and 4 hour window for your delivery.
  2. When scheduling, share any restrictions or special circumstances that could impact your delivery including, but is not limited to:
    • Narrow roads
    • Restricted delivery times
    • Gated entrances
    • Proof of insurance requirements
    • Multiple flights of stairs
    • Service elevator restrictions
  3. Ensure that all items will fit through access points such as doorways, stairways, hallways, elevators, and around corners into the desired location.
  4. On the day of delivery, our delivery partner will call you approximately 30 minutes prior to arriving at your home.
  5. Please prepare for your delivery by ensuring clear pathways and removing any fragile items that could be damaged during the delivery. Our delivery provider is unable to move any existing furniture.
  6. Our delivery experience is contactless and your signature is not required. If you observe an imperfection, notify the delivery team and either refuse the item or contact us at 888-263-9850 for a resolution.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Chairs break at the hinges (on multiple chairs) We bought 8 of these chairs in Orange and so far 6 of them have broken as soon as someone (all petite women) sat on them. The bolt in the legs are not stable. Ballard has sent us replacements but we continue to experience the issue. Maybe it is something with the orange ones, but we love the look of them but they are terrible.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bolts break, no stars These chairs are garbage. The bolts on the legs rust out very quickly and snap apart making the chairs useless. These bolts can not be replaced or fixed. After a very short time, 3 out of 4 chairs purchased were gone. Save your money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 5 of 8 have broken I love the way these chairs look-I got them in white, and they are perfect at my kitchen table. They are not super comfy, but cute cushions take care of that. The problem that I've had, though, is with a seeming design flaw...I initially ordered 6 chairs, and within a week 2 of them had broken at the same spot--where the legs join the mechanism severed. Ballard Designs customer service (very friendly) swapped them out for me. Now we've had the original 4 chairs and the 2 new ones for about a year, and as of last night, 3 more have broken in the same spot (where the legs "glide" apart). The metal that the chair is made of is nice and substantial--it's only the joint that seems to be the problem. I wish there was some way to fix this as the chairs are really great looking. So you'll know, we are small people so weight is not the issue!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Love the chairs, but they didn't hold up! We purchased the bistro table and four chairs last June for our back garden. They looked wonderful and were the perfect place to lounge and dine. We then put the chairs and table in our basement over the winter. Unfortunately, when we brought them out this spring, the bolts in two of the chair legs snapped while we were setting them up, and a third chair gave out about a week later. It was a huge disappointment since we're now down to one chair with a whole summer stretching out ahead of us. Since they stored indoors all winter we can't figure out why in the world the bolts all broke. I adore the chairs, but am not sure we want to replace them with the same ones...
