If you're not happy, we're not happy. That's where our "Love It or Send It Back" policy comes in. If you're dissatisfied with your Ballard purchase for any reason, you can return it within 90 days of the ship date for an exchange or full refund* (excluding Shipping & Processing fees).

You are invited to try items within our Best of Ballard collection risk-free for 30 days. If you're not satisfied, we will refund the purchase price AND shipping costs. Best of Ballard items are exempt from additional discounts and free shipping offers.

If you don't absolutely love your new slipcovered seating or upholstered seating for any reason, return it within 10 days of delivery absolutely free – we'll even pay the return shipping. It's that simple. We guarantee it. Now doesn't that make you happy?

Please carefully inspect your order upon delivery. If you receive damaged or defective merchandise, you may contact our Customer Service department at 1-800-536-7551 and a representative will be glad to arrange a return or exchange for you.

Please note: Any items that are monogrammed, customized, Customer's Own Material (COM), or made-to-order cannot be modified, cancelled, returned or exchanged unless damaged or defective. Defective items will be exchanged unless no longer available, in which case a Merchandise Certificate will be issued. Once a returned item is received in our warehouse, the return or exchange will be processed immediately. For credit card orders, you can expect to see your refund credit within 72 hours. For check and money orders, you can expect to receive your refund check within 7-10 business days.

Fees

Orders equal to and under $200 will be charged 15% of the total order value.

Orders over $200 will be charged 10% of the total order value with a cap at $350.

All shipping charges are based on the original retail price of the product prior to any discounts being applied.

Expedited Shipping

Delivery Time

We offer Two Business Day or Next Business Day Expedited Shipping on many items. Expedited orders received by 4 pm ET Monday–Friday are shipped the same day.

Expedited order cut-offs may vary during weeks surrounding a federally recognized holiday.

Rates start at $25 for Two Business Day and $35 for Next Business Day and increase based on the size of your order. The amount will be calculated at check out or call us for a quote.

  • On many larger items, like furniture, you have the option to upgrade the delivery experience to In-Home Truck Delivery.
  • Some items only ship via In-Home Truck Delivery.
  • With our In-Home Truck Delivery service, the item will be brought inside in your home, unpacked, placed in its final destination, and packaging materials removed.
  • Assembly is not included.

What To Expect For Truck Deliveries

  1. After your items have shipped, you will be contacted by our delivery partner to schedule a day and 4 hour window for your delivery.
  2. When scheduling, share any restrictions or special circumstances that could impact your delivery including, but is not limited to:
    • Narrow roads
    • Restricted delivery times
    • Gated entrances
    • Proof of insurance requirements
    • Multiple flights of stairs
    • Service elevator restrictions
  3. Ensure that all items will fit through access points such as doorways, stairways, hallways, elevators, and around corners into the desired location.
  4. On the day of delivery, our delivery partner will call you approximately 30 minutes prior to arriving at your home.
  5. Please prepare for your delivery by ensuring clear pathways and removing any fragile items that could be damaged during the delivery. Our delivery provider is unable to move any existing furniture.
  6. Our delivery experience is contactless and your signature is not required. If you observe an imperfection, notify the delivery team and either refuse the item or contact us at 888-263-9850 for a resolution.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent extra cafe chairs. Great extra chairs. I purchased these chairs for my upper deck small cafe table. They aren’t as comfortable as my teak and iron folding chairs, but the price is much lower, also. I wouldn’t recommend anyone weighing 200+ pounds sit on these.

The design is impeccable, the furniture is sturdy and beautiful in its elegant simplicity. A gem!!! We highly recommend them. We got the idea from someone who has had them for years. This is truly worth the investment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent comfort, design and price We "abused" our first set of six chairs for at least ten years, leaving them out in rain and feet of snow. The finish continued to look good but, as you'd expect with that kind of treatment, the bolts recently started to rust and break. So happy with our new, fresh set. The only recommendation is to try to reduce the packaging - there is a LOT of styrofoam to get rid of and our recycling center won't take it.

We have had 4 of these for over 10 years now (I can't exactly remember how long), and only 1 has broken. I was logging on now to get a few more now to augment the 3 we still have. I have to admit they may have been left outside for a few New England winters when we were younger and more careless, and so I was surprised that they have lasted as long as they have. The matching café tables have also lasted us forever, and are just starting to get a few chips in the paint on the surface after 10 years. Good quality overall and we will buy more!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The only cushion I could find to fit a cafe chair. Ballard Designs was the only place I found that carried seat cushions designed to fit cafe chairs. All other cushions were too big. I originally ordered two in kiwi green in July. I began receiving email messages from Ballard saying they were delayed. Finally the 4th message said they were delayed until November 23rd! So, I cancelled the order and reordered them in rust. I was disappointed that I couldn't get them in the color I wanted but I like the rust (it's brownish orange.) I am happy with the product.

Dainty looking but very comfortable & strong. Perfect for when we need extra chairs on our porch. Also easy to fold away.
