What To Expect For Truck Deliveries

  1. After your items have shipped, you will be contacted by our delivery partner to schedule a day and 4 hour window for your delivery.
  2. When scheduling, share any restrictions or special circumstances that could impact your delivery including, but is not limited to:
    • Narrow roads
    • Restricted delivery times
    • Gated entrances
    • Proof of insurance requirements
    • Multiple flights of stairs
    • Service elevator restrictions
  3. Ensure that all items will fit through access points such as doorways, stairways, hallways, elevators, and around corners into the desired location.
  4. On the day of delivery, our delivery partner will call you approximately 30 minutes prior to arriving at your home.
  5. Please prepare for your delivery by ensuring clear pathways and removing any fragile items that could be damaged during the delivery. Our delivery provider is unable to move any existing furniture.
  6. Our delivery experience is contactless and your signature is not required. If you observe an imperfection, notify the delivery team and either refuse the item or contact us at 888-263-9850 for a resolution.

Drilling 3 drainage holes wasn't a problem, although if you're using it with potted plants just put a liner in to catch the water. Not a problem. Hope they bring it back - I'd buy another, as long as it's not priced a lot higher.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from VERY nice - but with caveats............ The caveats are: this planter is REALLY big - and HEAVY. Probably about 30 lbs? More? Not really something you can easily sit on a table of any kind - dining or not. I wanted it for the house to plant things in it, but it's so big and heavy that I decided to put it outside. And now with the 3 drainage holes in it I don't know if I'd be able to find a drip pan big enough to put under it if I brought it in the house. I actually thought of that before drilling the holes and made sure the holes were the same size as a regular sink plug - those white ones with the little silver ring on it you can get anywhere - so IF I ever did want to bring it inside I could just plug the holes with those plugs. At least that's the theory. They may leak. Haven't tried it yet since I only have one plug. The inside bottom is glazed, so water won't leach through as long as that glaze is intact. Once that glaze is broken by even a scratch, water can get in and will eventually drip out the bottom. It's been outside under about 2 or more feet of snow in -10 degrees or more temps. Didn't crack or anything, although it might have if there was something planted in it. As for drilling those holes - my son is a tile guy and he said porcelain is practically indestructible and being outside, even in the snowy winter, won't hurt it. However, it's gone down to more than -20 degrees F with the wind chill, colder than it's ever been, so I have to check to see how it's doing. Anyway, he drilled 3 one-inch holes in the bottom with a hole saw cutter used for porcelain tile - NOT a paddle drill. Holes can be drilled - however you need to do it outside and have cold water from the garden hose on it CONSTANTLY. I would NOT just use a pitcher or bucket of water. I held the hose while he drilled, and most of the time the whole bit was underwater - the bottom filling with 2-3 inches of water as he drilled. And he went SLOW, with graduating pressure, stopping every 10-15 seconds because the water would start getting hot from drilling, as would the pot itself get warm, so it had to drain so there was COLD water in there. I think it took about 1/2 hour or more to drill the 3 holes. That's how careful he was to take his time. NEVER drill without COLD water constantly on/in it. It IS a pretty piece. The pictures they show are deceiving as to size, and I don't see any mention of weight. Because the pictures have it on a kitchen counter and coffee table it makes you think it's readily moveable. Not so!!! You'd have to put this somewhere where you wouldn't be moving it - especially if you planted something in it. In that case you'd need 2-3 really strong people to pick it up. You might need 2 people just to pick it up empty! I couldn't do it myself. Remember, it's about 30 lbs all by itself! Fill it with dirt and it's easily close to 50. If you really want to drill holes for drainage in it, and you don't want to do it yourself, maybe a person who does tile - like for floors, walls - or a stone guy who does paving? - might do it for you. I would think you'd have to be prepared for it breaking, though, and not blame the person doing the drilling, as even experts can't control the product. But an expert could tell you the possibility of that happening. My expert son said the same to me. But since he's an expert and deals with porcelain all the time, and has the correct tools, he was confident there'd be no problem. And there wasn't.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's huge! I expected it to be big, all you have to do is read the specs, but it's deceiving how big it really is. That's really not a problem, but what is a problem, and the thing that keeps me from giving it five stars, is that there is no drainage hole as advertised. I hope it doesn't break when I use a ceramic drill bit on it. I will then use it outdoors with ceramic feet. The outside bottom is not glazed so you really couldn't use it as an urn except maybe on glass. Being porous, it would ruin whatever you placed it on.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from HUGE!!! I didn't realize how BIG this bowl is until it arrived at my door in a really heavy, almost waist-high box!! It's beautiful and well-made, but definitely not the "tabletop" bowl I'd envisioned (hard to tell scale from Ballard photos). Definitely too large for the sunny sideboard I'd intended it for, so I guess I'll just put it in the garden and fill it with potted plants (there's no drainage hole), or use it as a birdbath. Just be aware that this thing weighs 44 pounds (!!), so once you place it, you're not going to want to be moving it around. It's a very nice piece, just not what I was expecting.
