Love this pendant, but wish it was bigger.I first ordered the large size which was too big for my dining room. The folks at Ballard Design were fantastic about the exchange and I got the smaller pendant quickly. It feels a little too small. I wish there was an in between size, but all in all I am happy with the lantern.

The bestWe have been the happy owners over 21 years of one of the ancestors of these fixtures, so naturally when we bought our Cape Cod Bed & Breakfast in Falmouth, Massachusetts, we went back to Ballard for porch fixtures. These units are large and may appear imposing at first but in no time one gets used to the dimensions and after a week they will look perfectly natural in most environments. Then you start noticing the small units your neighbors have on their homes and start wondering what would possess them to be too cheap to get REAL lights for their homes. All kidding aside, these things not only look beautiful but also hold up well over the years.

Small change, huge impactI bought three of these lanterns to replace lights on the porches in front of our house. They looks awesome and several neighbors have commented how nice they look. They give off plenty of light as well.
As other reviewers noted, they are difficult to install due to a deign flaw. Our electrician pointed it out to me but he was able to install all three in the end.

Statement LightsI have two of the small lanterns hanging over my kitchen island and they absolutely make the room. I adore them! They put off a ton of light hanging side by side. My only complaint is that it is difficult to clean the glass and get all the smudges out. I had an electrician install them and he had no issues (although they are quite heavy!). Highly recommend!

Bigger than you think!We bought two of these, the small for our foyer, and the large for our upstairs hall. We had to return the small one because it was just too large for the foyer (we only have 8' ceilings), however the large worked really well for the upstairs hall. The upstairs is very open, so this hang from the ceiling, and hangs over the open stairs and lights all the way down to the first floor. It is a bit large for the upstairs, but we like the dramatic look. There was practically no assembly required because all the glass was in place. Very good value! Also comes with an extra "candle stick", not sure why you would need one but I guess in case it were to crack down the road. The wax drippings are very realistic looking. I'm thinking about seeing how it would look with shades on the lights.

Calisse 4-Light LaternI love this lantern. I bought the small one for my foyer. I have 9 ft. ceilings throughout my home and it fits great. We could not use all of the chain so we just cut some links out but it puts out plenty of light and looks beautiful. The only thing I have to comment on is the color was supposed to be antique bronze and it's not. It might as well have been called black because that's what it is. So don't expect it to be as described. Otherwise, it's a very nice light and a wonderful change to the light fixture it replaced.

Gorgeous Lantern!I bought the small lantern for above my kitchen table and it looks absolutely beautiful! It was the perfect size ( bigger than I expected but perfect) I have antiqued white cabinets and it looks really good in contrast to the cabinets. I will be purchasing this same lantern for my foyer entry way as well. The only thing I will say is the color of the lantern is more of a black then a bronze. Also when we put the right bulbs in the lantern it was extremely bright so we installed a dimmer switch that gave us the option of less or more light when we needed. The quality is great and shipped right on time! Definitely recommend this product!

Fun over sized lanternWe ordered the large lantern which looks stunning hanging in the front entry stairwell of our home. The lantern is quite heavy which can pose a challenge when installing the light on a high ceiling, however we are completely pleased with the final result.
